Hey guys! If you're interested in picking up these LR profiles, I have links here to check them out! Not sponsored by them or anything, but they are affiliate links so if you decide to pick them up, the channel will get a little kick back. 🙏🏻 I'll be doing a full video just on these profiles in the next few weeks so keep an eye out for that as well. Appreciate seeing your workflow for how you move files around and where you save files. I always feel totally disorganized, and at some point it feels like I have film files all over the place and can’t remember where.😂
RAD! I love the Archetype profiles! Normal means it was developed normally without any pushing or pulling. EXP+2 means how many stops brighter it was exposed from box speed.
Dear lord does that lens render nicely. Coupled with some good light and nice tasteful edits it just sings. A digital camera of that quality would make me put film down for a while dear lord
Matt, where or how do you get some of these profiles you're talking about? Or are they camera-dependent (I have the 15 profiles for my Fujifilm camera, for instance). But you did mention (being lazy) about not uploading some others.
Another great BTS video. The profiles for LR look fab but the fees for them are pretty meaty to say the least. I’ve found that the profiles/presets by Jamie Windsor have been far superior and well thought out than the majority I’ve explored and at a fraction of these ones 📷 👍
Hey Matt. Been following you for a while. Like your laidback family oriented style. When you name a folder by date, go year, month, day, e.g. 20200929, then they will sort chronologically by name. Keep it up.
Matt, what settings are you using for white balance? I feel like your DNGs look so much better than mine do just out of my M10. Maybe it's that nice Ohio light, here in CA there's never any clouds so it's just straight harsh light all day.
@Matt Day Awesome video :) love to see your procees for editing. Your channel has motivated me so much to start capturing family moments edoecially on black and white film. Picked up a cheap but great starter camera, praktica Tl3 :) thank you so much for sharing your videos and giving me the motivation!
@@mattdayphoto you are more than welcome! Sent you a DM on Instagram with one of my first pictures. Of you could check it out and give me some tips I would be so thankful! I'm sure you are super busy though so totally understand :)
@@Pepp_ered This is why I never bother with lightroom. The organizing alone is worth it. I help so many people with losing stuff in lightroom and transitioning them to bridge and camera raw.

What do you do with all of the raw files you don't edit? I find myself doing the same, shooting hundreds, editing a few, and not knowing what to do with the rest. Maybe the solution is to shoot raw+jpg and only keep the raws you want?
How does your iPad come in on your editing? I recently switched from my MBP with Adobe to an iPad Pro with Affinity, and I’m surprised to find no one really goes iPad only.
I have switched to LR Mobile on iPad and have been thrilled with how efficient and intuitive it feels to review and edit photos. Big fan of this workflow.
Frontside flip, but I've always wished I had a good backside flip. Hell, I always wished I had a good frontside flip, but it's definitely better than my backside flip or lack thereof. Haha.
You shoot a lot around your home. I find that difficult. I quickly find it boring. How do you deal with that? With every morning walk do you have a lot of the same shots on different days? Ps: I like your work and style. So laid back, but from your wife’s Instagram shows you have a hectic life with your daughter. Respect. 🙏🏻
I feel that. I shoot film and att the end of the day, I would go with the most accurate film emulations and I've found these are the most accurate I've edited with.
@@RussellAlboroto yes maybe, you have personally tested or used them? I am willing to pay 188 but want to be sure it is totally worth it and better than other ones. because we don't really know how to test them via a demo ... otherwise I saw your web page and the photos are really overwhelming! I loved!

Did you ever do the follow up video?
Well, this was fun. And I’m glad I’m not the only one having to straighten images!
What a fun video! Always love to see inside the mind of photographer's edits and what they envisioned while shooting.
Thank you!
Always some of the best videos for me as well ^^

Thank you!
this is the kind of clip of workflow from Leica digital that I have been searching
Dayum they are expensive profiles! You reckon its worth it bro? I mean I have my own for my wedding work but to match my film photography?
Fun seeing these mundane everyday shots. I love the through-the-window shot towards the end! Definitely preferred the 4:3 crop.

Loved these edits Matt :D especially the one with powerlines
"Really Really Long Film In It" that made me laugh xD
Very interesting to see a workflow that differs quite a bit from mine, even though we use the same software. Several takeaways from this so thank you.
Amazing shots throughout man 👏

Where did you get the color profile?
Once upon a time, Mac book pro has had a built-in SD card reader.
The image of the shadow of the leaves on the brick street caught my eye, too.

Found these presets from one of your previous videos; I love the Kodak ones. Thanks for the tip!

Why do you not import through Lightroom?

What you call editing most people call processing. What you are doing at the start of this video, most people call selecting.
Just shot you a message on IG. Thanks for all this work you're doing!
