I had Shure beta 58. I thought this is the best mic....but........Yesterday I bought D7. D7 is the winner because its so much better, clearlier, smooth, warm and powerful! I am in love. Akg D7 forever!!!!!!
By the way, this is best video comparison of two mics on the internet in my opinion so far.

Wg mnie beta ma nieco więcej przestrzeni. Zakupiłem już jakiś czas temu i jestem zadowolony. Jest to mikrofon, który po prostu przekazuje głos tak jak on w rzeczywistości brzmi. Niektóre mikrofony mają jakąś barwę, są cieplejsze, na różnych pasmach pojawiają się różne szmery a z betą jest takie odczucie przestrzeni i czystości dźwięku. Polecam zdecydowanie ten mikrofon. Na powyższym filmiku też słyszę różnicę, o której piszę, chociaż AKG sprawuje się całkiem nieźle to jednak wypada nieco słabiej. Inna sprawa, że taki serio dobry wybór mikrofonu powinien polegać na pójściu do sklepu, przetestowaniu kilku różnych i dobraniu jakiegoś pod głos i pod brzmienie jakie nas interesuje. Dzięki takim filmikom można się dobrze nakierować i decyzja z pewnością będzie łatwiejsza.
Great comparison. They seem more similar compared to the AKG D5 x Shure SM58 test.
Thank you so much for the review, the D7 kinda got left out on reviews, and 58a over shadow by the 58. Everyone wants to use the 58 as a steppingstone.
Beta 58 taki jakiś przyjemniejszy i nie wiem jak to określić, jak by szerszy, troszkę cieplejszy dźwięk, przynajmniej na słuchawkach , przeciwnie jak w poprzednim teście, gdzie lepszy dla mnie był AKG D5

In the other video, the AKG D5 wins over the Shure SM58. The modern D5 has more presence, loudness, and clarity. But in this video, the Shure Beta 58A wins over the AKG D7. The classic Beta 58A sounds more natural, organic, and warmer. Interesting comparison. Get both D5 and Beta 58A. They compliment each other.
Never. D7 wins easy. D7 sounds more natural. The beta 58a sounds more midle.
First of all: both sound very well, but in the end the women´s voice was the winner. And the mic´s? For me they were surprisingly very equal. I had a favourite before I heard it, but in fact I didn´t recognize much differences. For me it would be interesting to compare the D5 as well and maybe a mic of another producer (e.g. Sennheiser or Audix) as well.

Sir, I want to do voice over. But I am very confused. Is this mic for recording or for live cast? Can I do recording with this mic? And can I mix it later? Will this mic be good for voice over?
Have to agree, this helped me decide which mic to get, the D7 has a nice warm sound to it but the brightness of the 58A is a winner
It's always better to have a flat sounding microphone. If you need more in certain areas you can tweak with the EQ. One huge advantage of the D7 is the polar pattern uniformity, far superior to that of the B58A
In this test they are singing right in front of the mic. While on stage this is not likely to happen all the time and D7, as said, is superior in this aspect

Resumindo, o microfone shure é mais grave, (é ideal pra quem tem voz fina, mais é raro achar ele original no BR), já o AKG D7 tem o som mais agudo, e um pouco "mais aberto" (é ideal pra quem tem voz grossa, todos são originais)
Watching this video, I realized that in Brazil it is much more advantageous to buy the AKG D7, there is a difference of U $ 335.00. Sure, I found Shure's sound a little better, but not better enough for that amount of dollars!
Bruno, can you please let me know which shure microphone beats the D7 in terms of sound quality? I've used the B58A and it's pretty similar but D7 is still a better microphone. KSM8 is fantastic but costs up to 3X
@@manuelpenaruiz3694 Watching the video, the sound of Beta 58 sounded better. It is my personal impression, not a fact. Maybe the D7 sound sounded better for you, but it's not what it sounded to me, based on this video.

I ned a mic for flute , hamonica and singing. NOTHING fancy . I'm in between Shure beta a 58 and Sennheiser e945. Had a Shure sm 58 before ( got stolen) , it worked fine but would like to try something a little better .Thanks in advance for any answer.

Alex, você já cantou com o D7? Tô em dúvida entre o D7 e o sennheiser e835. Costumo cantar um pouco baixo e não gosto de cantar muito próximo do microfone
Vc está mal de ouvido então amigo. Eu fiz o teste aqui e notei todas as vezes que mudou o microfone. Olhava para o vídeo rapidamente e tinha mudado. O Akg é mais limpo. O shure tem um médio mais estaladinho.
el akg proyecta un sonido mucho mas claro, mas limpio.
