I had these on my 06 rt except in staggered 22” grey. I rolled on them for about 12 years. The wheels look nice but they are really heavy. The car has become a commuter car now so I’m on factory 18’s again.
Why are 06-10 chargers so popular to mod. I've been searching for an SRT from that generation and i'd say a solid 70% of listed SRT's are customized. I just want a complete stock one as a collectors car to keep and they're so hard to come by.
Honestly their transmissions are trash, I had one, a stock one, I was going to mod it but the transmission started going out at 100k miles, and I didnt even run it fast, i didnt do any pulls, I was careful with the car and would do maintenance as well. It's a fun car to have, dont get me wrong, but it's just not reliable. I also dont believe it will become a collector's item in the near future, perhaps in 80 years, but we'll be dead by then
I love these wheels, currently have these on my charger. Could you drop where you got these from? I want a new set of replicas but can’t find them in correct size/offset
Wow man love this I'm thinking of dropping my charger like yours an 07 with 22's what's your experience with it how do you like it how much did you have to mod so it can be compatible and how much did it cost you??
oh dude one of ur tail lights is out rite side ... this car is sick man i have an 06 rt is all stock besides the cold air intake and the catch oil can but i wana do the same rims and bag it too
He's not entirely wrong though. Granted replacing suspension components year round is a bit of an exaggeration - it still will take an exponential toll on your suspension . Also there's other caveats. 1. Is the overall diameter of your aftermarket wheel and tire package the same as stock ? For example did you go from stock 17s to 22s? 2. See above - if you have ABS, stability control etc and your wheel size is outside of stock specifications.. your dashboard gauge cluster could light up like a Christmas tree and constantly trip your sensors causing audible alerts while you're driving. Forcing you to pull fuses and delete one of the major benefits of owning a modern vehicle. 3. Typically your speedometer won't be accurate and bigger heavier wheels will have a negative impact on your MPG. You want to remain as close to your manufacturers revs/miles specifications as possible. 4. For obvious reasons they will also affect your performance and braking. The added weight is more bad than good for your drive train and stopping power. I'll use one of my vehicles as an example. My stock wheels for my SS Camaro are 20s. Overall wheel diameter with 245-45-20 front tires and 275-40-20 rear is approximately 28.7 diameters. Even if i were to only go from 20s to 22s I'd have to compensate with low profile tires in the ballpark of 245-35-22s in the front and 275-30-22s in the rear to keep within that diameter range of stock specifications. Otherwise I'm lifting the car, rolling fenders, removing fender wells and I'm no longer within range of 704 revs/miles where my car's brain is dialed in. There goes the accurate speedometer reading and mileage. You could attempt recalibration but why would anyone go that far to gain 2 inches of rim circumference? I imagine its worse for a vehicle with a deviation of up to 5 inches from manufacturer specifications. Thats not counting if i wanted to go with a staggered wide/flush fitment. Which means wider rims and tires, additional weight with a different offset and backspacing for clearance. This wouldn't be as much of a problem if my wheels weren't already taller/heavier with 22s. Regarding tires with shorter sidewalls I'm going to be experiencing a harsher ride, more road noise and cabin vibration with a higher probability of curb rash and dented wheels. I think the air suspension was smart. It drastically improves the look of the vehicle and I feel it's the way to go IF you're not a fan of stock wheel gap. Lifting your car at a safe ride height at a push of a button is extremely convenient and more practical as opposed to driving static on public roads. That is if you don't mind the upkeep of your air suspension system.. which is minimal. Drain water trap(s), purging condensation fluid from your tank. However oversized wheels... meh. They can look good but that's a lot of cons simply for the sake of looks in my opinion. It shortens the life of the car and good luck selling it at BB value. Anyone with any common sense will avoid modified cars like the plague. I think most donks have one thing right. They are typically old throw away cars that cost less than the large wheels being put on them. However it pains me to see a nice sports/muscle car with oversized wheels. I think that's typically what people mean when they say "you've destroyed your car".
I need to know a little bit about the air bag ride you got.. How much is it and what brand? I see people do them more to the 300s but I'm just curious... It doesn't seem like it would be hard to put on...
Nigga Nigga no just my opinion I don't like the style of the Charger from the start back in 65 the Charger was always a two door . That would be like a Mustang or Camaro a four door . But again everything is run by insurance companies that's why there is no t tops on cars to day everything is made out of plastic and computers . Easy to fix or throw away.
I watched this vedio a year ago, today again i came to watch it so i can listen to that post malones song you put,now its not there🤦...its boring the song made it so interesting trust me#white iverson

Supa clean.....
Yeah those 22 inch wheels look good!! But people fail to realize they will be replacing suspension parts year round!!🙄
Eric Vetter y
Not really!...I've ran rims on all of my cars and I have only replaced the stock crap with aftermarket and have been good every since!...

Dodge Charger should be a two Door not a four Door that is the only thing wrong with the charger . Besides the style is way off .
