They do look a lot better with LEDs!😊 I have Novsight in my projector dip and main because I want the white look and see better at night! Halogen yellow bulbs are so unsafe to drive at night especially if you haven’t got very good projector lights!
Unless they are E marked they are not legal for road use in the UK. If you want brighter legal bulbs then xenon filament type bulbs like Osram Night Breaker are a good option.
I’ve had HID’s in the past and they are out of alignment and waaay to bright these have actually been great and drivers haven’t been flashing me etc and thanks
All led bulbs are not legal in uk but if you use them change them for mot only and them put back on😜✌️ great led bulbs ny the way,i think i want them too😉
@@AndyfromSurrey but how do they know what bulbs are in? If they are in a projector, they can’t see the bulb and if it’s aiming correctly and not blinding oncoming traffic then you shouldn’t have any problems with it so I don’t see why they’re not legal to use LED in projector? I never had any trouble, never had trouble with the MOT, never had trouble being pulled over and the Insurance companies is a complete joke by scamming us and taking our money away by not paying out as an excuse, even over the tiniest tiniest thing and I thought white is a legal colour…… In the UK, your headlights must either be white or yellow. The rules for MOT on LED/HID conversion applies to “Existing halogen headlamp units (which is basically a normal reflector or non-projector whichever you wanna call it) must not be converted to be used with (Light Emitting Diode) LED or (High Intensity Discharge) HID bulbs. If such conversion has been done you must fail the headlamp on (Headlamp light source and lamp not compatible (4.1.4 (c))”
@@AndyfromSurrey why are you suggesting a halogen night breaker bulbs? That is down to personal preference, If you’re running an LED in projectors, you can’t see the bulb inside the headlight. They are legal if you have projectors but the MOT tester is not allowed to start dismantling the headlights apart to look for E approval mark and how would the insurance know what bulbs are in if they’re in a projector? As long the colour is white and it has a cutoff pattern, not dazzling other people and properly adjusted then we shouldn’t have any problems….. LED headlight bulbs can only be used in PROJECTOR housings just like HIDs. It’s not advisable to use them in halogen reflector units due to too much glare and the cutoff pattern will be wrong. Also, the headlight units would be E marked, not the bulbs, but the headlamp like halogen units must to be compatible. Projectors, completely legal to run LEDs or HIDs. As long they are white or yellow and meet the requirements and the regulations
Hi can you tell me if they canbus error free ??? Because on most Volkswagen if they are not it sends error to the bash board. Be good to know so I can order them ..
I have still have the s1 witch I’d like to do a lot to the Mx5 is my run about, I made a risky move that should benefit my future and it’s something in it for you guys😁
Quality james , always live to the cut of your cloth. Fast or slow , new or old I'm still intrested because I love all types of cars . 😁👍 Not worth getting into debt just to please others. Love your s1 and your mx5. All the best James 👍
That's going to depend on local laws. Also will depend a lot on how well your headlights create a light cutoff pattern. If your LEDs don't dazzle a cop coming the other way, you're probably not going to get pulled over for them. If they pull you over for something else and feel like being dicks, of course they'll be illegal according to the asshole writing the ticket. Older cars headlight housings have shit light cut off patterns. If you can't see a clear line where the lights cut off with the LEDs in, take them back out.

Hey mate great video but you need to clock the LED chips to 3 & 9 a clock.
You’ll get much better lighting.
But it is to the 3&9
I had these on a 2018 POLO, had ful beam and dip, amazing bulbs, pretty much the same output as OEM polo gti 6c lol
led headlights are the best I have Nov sight on my car and I love them
This particular design is pretty well the best i’ve found, cougar motors makes it as well and are veryyyyy good
Very nice explanation!!
Thank you for bringing the led headlight content
Keep the videos coming
That’s no problem at all Thankyou😁

@@davidriley9194 If you have an accident and the insurance company inspects your car and finds the bulbs your insurance may be void. So your call.
