What a moment. I think her set will be remembered for years to come. So honest and raw. I hope everyone that has dealt with the subject of this song can heal from their traumatic experience.
I had never heard of this woman until the Brits. I thought I would listen to some of her music. I am SO glad that I did. I am coming out of an abusive relationship of 12 years. My ex partner is at last in prison for what he has done to me. Listening to this song has made me realise how strong I am. Music should reflect real life, not all love and hearts and flowers. I am now a very f7cking strong woman. Thank you Raye for singing it like it really is with your beautiful words and voice. Thank you SO much, you are keeping me strong. Xx

Its time this song was sung. I'm 50. You would be hard pushed to find a woman of my generation that hadn't been sexually abused in some way. This is very powerful.

I’m a 46 year old man , and I agree with you , when we was kids , everyone knew of a flasher down the park, or some other weirdo , it was normalised. This is why I’m a protective dad , my oldest is 10 , a boy , and never been out on his own , it’s a sad world we live in .

I just listened to this song for the first time today, as I was driving to work and it made me cry. Such powerful lyrics and a song that a lot of people can relate to (unfortunately). I was sexually abused,touched when and where I had given no permission and although I told no one took me serious I was dismissed time and time again! I made many mistakes because of the lack of respect I was given and put up with more crap than any one ever should also because I figure that's just the way out would always be. I never became bitter or hateful instead I became stronger and protector of those I deeply love my children now if I were ever to find out any one off them went thru anything close to what I did..God help who's to blame!
She is using her talents to lift and support others.
