after watching since ep2 of this build, what i really like is that you are so hands on, nothing seem to be an issue, you just go on an wrench like there is nothing to it. looking at myself, im second guessing everything i do. when there is no need for it. its just a car, dont overthink it like you do... i like that.... and of course some knowledge would be good :D

I've boosted LOTS of cars in my time so I know exactly what I'm doing. The challenge with this build was that I was trying to do it as cheap as humanly possible. Fast forward to today, I have both engines out of these cars. The engine from this car is getting built to 650HP and the other 3L engine is getting built to 1000HP. The reason I was going through with this build and recording everything is to help people understand the process.. but I decided that this build I am going straight to 750WHP. I have 6 episodes of season 3 already recorded, but not edited yet. Got my engine block and head at the machine shop getting prepped before some big power goals. You really need to stick around to see it because this e46 is going to be an absolute monster.
Late comment, but after all of the years, I’m looking to turbo my e46 328i. After you’ve done all of these videos, what kit do you recommend if I’d like to turbo mine? I’m sure eBay kits have come along way since 2 years ago. Also, why top mount instead of bottom? Thanks man! Great videos!!
Turbo kits are good, but you have to do away with some stuff. Things NOT to use from kits: - Hoses - Oil catch cans - Fuel pressure regulators - Wastegates - Fuel Pumps Use aremotive and TurboSmart parts. Inexpensive and good. Top mount because it looks cool but its a lot easier to service if you need to fix something.

Yo this manifold is for a bottom mount setup
Yeah I know. But it doesn't matter because all the bolts holes are the same. So you can flip it and make an adapter. Check my last car out.
