India is ready to spend 12 billion dollars for that and Nigeria is also agreeing to go with India. So please first research with proper facts and discussion with people. Here is the reality. Unless China's GDP growth rate falls to negative or in total collapse, but if they grow by 4.2% per annum, then India must grow by at least 19.98% to keep the difference of the two countries' GDP gap unchanged at $14.44 trillion. Because China's GDP in 2023 was $17.76 trillion. That's 4.758 times of India's $3.732 trillion. 4.2% X 4.758= 19.98%. Even India's GDP growth rate is at 21% per annum, it will be only $37.5 billion more than China a year. So $14.44t/$37.5b (14440/37.5) =385, even working it out using compound rate, India still needs at least 200 years to catch up with China!

We know what happened to Argentina, Japan and possibly China. I think the big difference between India and China is that, Indian politics ultimately is about improving the quality of our lives, more than anything, and that makes peace and prosperity necessary, while the PRC government tells their military "Prepare for War", every single year. People here don't realize that dictatorships always go to war when their internal economy crumbles. Taiwan War may not be as far off as it seems. I think Germany and the EU made historic mistakes by depending on Russia and the PRC. In the short term they saw steep growth, but they could not prevent the Ukraine War and perhaps another debt crisis arising from the Belt and Road initiatives.

The supreme court of India will get invloved if any such absurd this happens. This narrative of Modi opressing minorities occurs because of the people like the one here in this video, reperesting India, she clearly dislikes Modi and if such people say something against India in the western press, no westerners are active or intelligent enough to cross-check it with ground realities , and take it up on face value. Dear DW , as someone born in India and living in Germany , I can tell you that in personal freedoms India is still ahead of China ( although 50 years behind Germany) , but in economy ther eis no match of China. 7% of 3 Trillion is 210 billion that is the GDP growth of India . 5% of 17 Trillion is 850 Billion that is the GDP growth of China . India growing at 10% will still add less value to economy than china growing at 4% . These are mathematical realities. Also China is entering new industies where profit margins ar going to be much higher defence equipment, passenger jets , high speed railway , nuclear reactors these are going to be the chinese exports of this decade , compared to Shoes, textiles, plastics, consumer electronics which they exported in the last decade . India's biggest export are educated young people .

Huge Population isn't ticket for success rather the quality is and combination of many factors ...
Look at those rich countries, they have much smaller population than India and China ...🤡😂

I am an ordinary person in China. To be honest, I am very happy for China to ban Western media such as You Tube and Twitter, because in the early days of China's development, if the market is dominated by Western Internet giants, domestic public opinion will be completely controlled. For a population Great countries may live under Western rule forever

The discussion needed to be more in-depth.
Momentum has a certain role to play in the next 4-5 years with India reducing some gap with China which would still be quite large though. However, more important point is how the two leaders manage their respective countries in the long term (till early 30s - Modi could be PM till 2034 and Xi president for lifelong).
What I see Modi is leading India towards incremental changes every day, week, month, and year forming cordial relationship with everyone and in 10 years it will pay rich dividend whereas Xi is antagonizing everybody, every year, month, week, and day.
None of the neighbours are happy with belligerant China and West is also acting against it.
China currently has Africa in their pockets because of raw money power and some middle east countries due to their resentment against West.
The world geo-politics would be very interesting from India's perspective in the next 5-10 years period.
