In this video I refurbish and preserve a pair of Barrow Corporation Ash doors.
These features once played their part in the local Corporation residential waste handling arrangements of an era now long past.
These arrangements were common and typical to many Local Corporations up and down the country.
This is Part One of a small series of videos I shall be presenting upon this Socio-Urban topic. We bridge here the correlation between the local Iron history and the artefacts themselves.
