Derry City Football Club have a really interesting history. Although they're located within Northern Ireland, they play in the league system of the Republic of Ireland.
The history of Derry/Londonderry is very complicated and has impacts on the football club to this date. The supporters of the club are mostly Catholic and thus relate more to the League of Ireland Premier Division teams.
They've represented the IFA and FAI in UEFA competitions. The men's and women's teams even play in different countries!
