Clemenza was a very underrated character in my opinion. He had a lot of wisdom and knowledge of the way hits should be carried out (this scene and the scene where he coaches Michael with the gvn). Ice water in his veins. Remember, he got Vito in on his first heist. He kinda started the family.
From a feudal standpoint, Vito was king and clemenza was the kingmaker

I never payed attention to this but Paulie was initially suspicious and moving funny which is why he told Rocco to move and glared at Clemenza hahaha brilliant.
It was mentioned in the book a few times how Paulie would be hard to catch off guard because of his natural deep suspicion.

The actor that played Clemenza blew his chance to be in part 2. First he asked for a ton of money which they agreed to but then he said he wanted his girlfriend to write all his lines. He spent rest of his life working at a car repair shop as a mechanic.
I remember playing GTA Liberty City Stories doing the mission "The Made Man" where you as Toni Cipriani have to drive with J.D. O'Toole (A former rival mafia family member that wants to join the Leone's Toni's mafia family) and Mickey Handfists in the back seat, you have to drive both to the Harwood Junkyard where J.D. is about to be "made" but when they arrive, there's nobody there, and Mickey just pulls out a gun and shoots J.D. from the back seat, in the same way Paulie gets killed here in The Godfather. I inmediately got the refference, damn, that game is probably the GTA game most based in The Godfather that Rockstar ever made, that's why I love it no matter how a hell of difficult it was.
