He doesnt believe he has a reason to charge you , he is only charging you because of his ego. How do you get resisting arrest when you were not arrested for anything . It should be assault on the cop .
@@TheMelanatedPrince you think with a clean record and first offense I can get probation? I got a felony but it's the lowest felony. So basically I got a misdemeanor class A and a felony F6 resisting law enforcement
Two days ago I was approached and slammed to ground by an officer after only 12 seconds of verbal contact with him. Resisting arrest was only charge which I didn't resist. I let that man do what he was going to do. Seeking legal representation now for my case. Force was excessively used on me and my only charge is a secondary charge. I feel this department owes me his badge.
I just got charged with resisting arrest in Indiana. I wasn't charged with anything, no statements were taken by said officer.. my public defender told me in a nutshell he won't fight the resisting and that I have to give the prosecutor 'something'. And to key off your statement of yanking the arm behind the back, that is exactly what happened. I feel like he already had his mind made up before he even talked to me. I don't have the money to fight this, but feel like it was unjust. I also did have a chief in another city tell me he feels like the officer over stepped and should have told me why he wanted my ID.
Indiana police are just the fucking Gestapo. They'll come up to your door with a warrant and then push you back into the house and then claim you were retreating...
If, as a prospective juror in an alleged resisting arrest case, I were to mention jury nullification to acquit a defendant if evidence pointed to wrongful arrest, could I be held in contempt?
I guess it is possible but unlikely. More likely would end up with a mistrial after prosecutor objection and you would have to start over with a new jury

I am into a this matter in Florida . I know there was no RAS or warrant for my person. For a traffic stop, which I have a tint citation!!!
This despite the fact there is case law that clearly states I have the right to resist.
Yeah don’t resist. Fight it in court

I suppose it would really go bad if the innocent person punched the cop while resisting.
Fight for justice.
