Hello 👋 I am Daksh, i am gonna join college this year and purse BTech (CSE) . I got 93% in 12th with 92.33% (PCM) class 12 percentage. How difficult would it be to get package of 12 lakhs+ if i maintain or improve the score as i have in 12th. I am really curious cuzz when i searched the class 12 syllabus. MATHEMATICS 1 (semester 1). It had integration and differentiation that is not actually very much difficult for me if it doesn't have many very much new things or concepts. HOW Difficult would it be to get 12 LPA. My college senior got 84 LPA. Certainly she would have been a very good student but what had she done other than maintaining academic performance and going with the process and maintaining good CGPA.

I graduated from Xavier University in Bhubaneswar. Although the college os known for mba and business degrees. It recently offered ds course. Some teachers there are extremely knowledgeable for which im grateful to this day, but at the end of the year college did not help at all for job. I was the gold medalist there. And yet i was doing 100 applications f per day on linkedin. First i took whatever offer i got in ds field from a shitty healthcare startup company. After a few months there i applied again. Now im in an established company who recently opened up their ds division. So moral is don't give up. Keep trying no matter what anyone tells you, not even your parents.

@@tusharmawa2542 What worked for me was, i picked out projects that were interesting. I came up with problem statements myself. And lets say that idea had already been thought about. I'd think of changes or variations in it. After that, when id go to write the code. I'd make sure every aspect of it is as good as possible. Example avoiding for loops, using list comprehension, using numpy arrays etc. This you will perfect as you work on more projects. For me an interesting project was a major driving factor. The first company, even though shitty had an interesting project. I had to detect heart attacks from ppg data on a smartwatch. Even though coding wasn't my favourite thing. I only did it so that i can feel good when I get the desired outcome. Also reading about coding is useless. You may learn a little bit of the basics. After that you should get into implementation. Coming to ds. I found in the beginning krish naiks channel helped me understand ds concepts. Code with harry was a great help during job phase. Learn the basics of statistics, linear algebra, have an intuitive understanding of the maths behind algorithms. You will be set in terms of knowledge. For getting a job, there is no alternative to being persistent. I hope this helped. Good luck!

First what is your branch I am answering in context of coding and software development: Develop your skills. Learn programming. ( mostly C++, JAVA, Python). Work more on competitive coding. Practice as much as you can. Just make your problem solving skills sharper. Work on good projects. Go for good interships in big companies or any start up. You will paid what you deserve. So make yourself better everyday.

See, the thing which matters is your ‘skills sets’. 10 years down the line you won't find a company asking for a degree believe me, Basically the MNCs started laying off because peeps with degree there were not able to adapt the latest technology. I am 20. I completed my 3rd sem only! I got too many job offers, from my class 10th itself. I recently joined a company which suits my profile and allows me to do what i actually love to do. And if you ask me why i got the job offers even before my 10th? The companies wants peeps with skills(Mine is Gaining on process) in the Technical field atleast. By the way, i research on the latest security threats, Basically i do penetration tests on Company networks and applications, i test their security loop holes and report them back in a cool looking format. My suggestion If you are a Btech student or degree.. Different branches, whatever at last 80% people in software.. So.. When you are in second year or any free time.. Plan for future do software courses with internship(only which is used for software) aside like applications... Etc.. Maintain minimum 65-75%.. Degree must in time...

Usually fees is higher in such colleges but you can get scholarships and yes the package is usually higher compared to India but also the cost of living is at a higher end. I remember I used to spend lot more when I was in US compared to India. One of my friends used to save money by buying in bulk from costco/walmart, cooking food on his own, trying not to outsource simple tasks etc.

Learning programming through books has become outdated. The strategy which I and most of my college friends follow is, watch some good dsa playlist, practice problems on leetcode, codechef and then codeforces.

Develop your skills. Learn programming. ( mostly C++, JAVA, Python).
Work more on competitive coding. Practice as much as you can. Just make your problem solving skills sharper.

See, the thing which matters is your ‘skills sets’. 10 years down the line you won't find a company asking for a degree believe me, Basically the MNCs started laying off because peeps with degree there were not able to adapt the latest technology.
I am 20. I completed my 3rd sem only!
I got too many job offers, from my class 10th itself. I recently joined a company which suits my profile and allows me to do what i actually love to do.
And if you ask me why i got the job offers even before my 10th? The companies wants peeps with skills(Mine is Gaining on process) in the Technical field atleast.
By the way, i research on the latest security threats, Basically i do penetration tests on Company networks and applications, i test their security loop holes and report them back in a cool looking format. That's what i do.

If you are a Btech student or degree..
Different branches, whatever at last 80% people in software.. So..
When you are in second year or any free time..
Plan for future do software courses with internship(only which is used for software) aside like applications... Etc..
Maintain minimum 65-75%..
Degree must in time...

Hi, Harry bhai if we take admissions in US Universities like Harvard or UC Berkeley. So, my question is can we get better packages than a IIT student in US Universities?? Pls reply
Usually fees is higher in such colleges but you can get scholarships and yes the package is usually higher compared to India but also the cost of living is at a higher end. I remember I used to spend lot more when I was in US compared to India. One of my friends used to save money by buying in bulk from costco/walmart, cooking food on his own, trying not to outsource simple tasks etc.
