How a Sovereign Group in Jamaica Is Fighting a US Mining Company

  • Jamaica was once the world’s leading exporter of bauxite, which is the ore from which aluminum is made, but decades of mining have taken a toll on the land and the people. With reserves depleted, the government is now pushing to move mining operations into the most ecologically sensitive part of the island known as Cockpit Country. The people of Cockpit Country fought off the British in the 1700s and now they're conjuring the warrior spirit of their ancestors to take that fight to the mining companies.

American imperialism and political interference is part of the reason for mass migration. Democratic Reforms in many of these countries would hurt the cheap manufacturing of goods and resource extraction, so the US makes sure to install corrupt fascist puppets and these places remain dysfunctional. This is all to keep the prices of goods and commodities low for white capitalist countries. However, it seems that globalization could be undoing itself because of the Coronavirus pandemic, climate change, and resurgent nationalism in some developed countries.

But looking at it sabotaging their equipment is an idea but these people are so wealthy that it wouldn't even budge them also their grounds are heavily secured so it's not easy to get in, we need some inside men to do the damages their. The crazy part the Prime Minister said about 2years ago that he will not mine the cockpit and put a stop to it but I knew he was lying he actually renewed their license and gave them more land once he got more comfortable in his position it's very obvious that he's greedy and doesn't care about the people. Protest but with threats this time lol idk I'm just throwing ideas out there. The worst part is this is just one aspect of our country and natural resources that has been taken over by foreigners, let's not even touch and on our beaches, natural attractions, etc

Any sane "independent" government would question why they aren't mining their own natural resources.
It's stuff like this that make it difficult to cover the fact that Jamaica is ruled by England (and being strangled by America).
Jamaica is still under colonial rule, yet most natives think it's independent. As far as Jamaican/England law is concerned, all Jamaican minerals and natural resources are owned by the Crown. Realistically it all boils down to child abuses - which entails a great many harmful behaviors that damage children who grow up and assume power and control over others, alike what was done to them. It's not a shame, it's perpetual harm that's so bad that nobody agrees that if is causing harm and even if it might do harm, it shouldn't be done! So; End child abuses or let and cause chaos, murder, torture, corruption, poverty, profiting off of needless harms and premature death to continue? Well?

governments along with the fake "politicians" have joined forces to destroy the
natural environment impacting the forest, the fauna and the health of our people. Therefore,
the little taxes and employment, mean nothing in comparison with the damage caused in the long way. It is a shame for every body to be loving this nightmare!

It breaks my heart to see strong people who have been through so much and still to this day struggle to deal with oppression of companies that want to steal from Jamaica. The maroons were a bunch of elitists that gave up their own brethren into slavery in order to make peace with the colonialists in the 1st war. They ended up allied with a bunch of Spanish and Dutch "planters" (farmers) during the 2nd Maroon wars and thereafter. Its kinds complex, look it up.. Either way, they were little skirmishes back when guerilla warfare meant something against soldiers trained in socalled civilized warfare, in which would be no contest to a modern government. In reality it will starts and ends with politicians and the people holding their leaders feet to the fire.

Does fear put some things into you only if don't know which side you are on. The type of warefare called guerilla warfare were not Spanish solders. mersonary! Clearly why destroy the balance kept... Those who shall be left behind well ur better off asking Jesus to forgive u for rejecting him and that u r Godly apologetic, u thought something else was God, yes. And that u now believe in ur heart he is King of Kings and Lord's of Lords just as it's written KJV Book of Revelation 19:16😁!
