Just a tip for anyone watching and about to go over their painting with a pen… Be careful! Make sure it is fully dried before putting a pen on the paper so it won’t rip!
@@melonbby2i highly recommend canson montval watercolor paper! it’s about 8 dollars for a book with 20 sheets (40 if you use front and back, which i do) it’s really good paper and you can make 40 paintings in one book!
This managed to be more helpful at actually teaching me what to DO with the watercolor paint than the other results I got for “how to watercolor” (I know I would get better results watching a full length but I don’t wanna lose my music lol)

That's what I like about watercolor. The suggestion of flowers though dabs of paint which are enhanced by ink pen strokes. Nice work!

U need water color papers
The paper is more important than the paint. Search for 100% cotton watercolour paper, it's not the cheapest thing but it's worth it.

The colors come out FAR more vivid if you let them dry between colors. It muddies them to have multiple on top of each other.

These are too kewl. The secret to good watercolor is a Sharpie Pen (water resistant). It’s there to turn this sucks into, … wow not bad. 😊

u can use any black pen but with a fine tip and make sure to buy the one which doesn’t smudge over what you’ve drawn!
