This is false though. Because every phone or other tech that comes out MKBHD gets it for free. If you give too many bad reviews about their product they'll stop sending it to that reviewer. That's the payment (getting things lent to you for free and not having to spend thousands each time) and it means that the companies actually do have control and influence over the content of reviews.

Car reviews, aftermarket products, automotive technology; no matter what the topic is, there will always be people saying, "You only like this because you were paid" or "You are just a hater and on xxx's payroll". In the end, as independent creators, regardless of niche, the best we can do is continue to be honest and continue to provide value for anyone that may need/want it. Eventually, that honesty and willingness to help really solidify themselves into the world's perception of you. Marques, you have always shown a genuine interest in helping the tech world over years and years, and that's why I certainly trust you. And I think 11.5 million other people have come to that same conclusion too.

You are one of the few RUclips tech review I have ever fully trusted, I always found that if I wanted to know what the best smartphone or other tech device was for whatever budget I was looking at, I always went to your channel first to see if you had personally done a review on that device. I have a lot of friends who are not technically proficient in things to the degree that I am. And so often times it was a question asked by a friend of mine and with solid information provided by your channel I was able to give a solid recommendation for the person who needed the help. Keep up the fantastic work, you do a great job and your content is always informative and entertaining.

His view is SPOT on with how we run our channel! I was so happy to hear this from him. Makes me feel a lot better of our direction even though we are still a popular but smaller growing channel. We ALWAYS tell the truth about a service on our channel EVEN IF they pay us more then others for brand collaboration results. Most of our collaborators respect it but some don't and honestly we don't care, because I've told many clients "my brand is full transparency, while everyone else on RUclips is just SELLING STUFF" We've found at the end of the day your reputation and full transparency is worth MORE than money! Trust or distrust, people should always get a second opinion before they buy.
I disagree. People alternatively should do their own research to find the best phone that fits them. Flagships are all pretty much the same in specs but to find what sticks out for you, only the consumer can do that.
@@MrElmostudios not everyone knows how to do a proper and quality research. Maybe they don't know how to use the right tools, the right websites or even don't know too much about specs. So a more simplified review from a youtuber always can be useful

One reason I love watching MKBHD videos is how he covers each gadget, alongside with the quality and how he delivers his video. I watch these videos to not be brainwashed but to properly give me an educated decision when I buy a $1,500+ phone or device. Good or bad review, it gives me an idea before I make a purchase. Which is the meaning of what a tech reviewer is...

*Chorizo & mozzarella gnocchi bake :*
-1 tbsp olive oil
-1 onion finely chopped
-2 garlic cloves, crushed
-120g chorizo
diced
-2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
-1 tsp caster sugar
-600g fresh gnocchi
-125g mozzarella ball, cut into chunks
-small bunch of basil
torn
-green salad, to serve
Method
:
Heat the oil in a medium pan over a medium heat. Fry the onion and garlic for 8-10 mins until soft. Add the chorizo and fry for 5 mins more. Tip in the tomatoes and sugar, and season. Bring to a simmer, then add the gnocchi and cook for 8 mins, stirring often, until soft. Heat the grill to high.
Stir ¾ of the mozzarella and most of the basil through the gnocchi. Divide the mixture between six ovenproof ramekins, or put in one baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella, then grill for 3 mins, or until the cheese is melted and golden. Season, scatter over the remaining basil and serve with green salad.

You are one of the few RUclips tech review I have ever fully trusted, I always found that if I wanted to know what the best smartphone or other tech device was for whatever budget I was looking at, I always went to your channel first to see if you had personally done a review on that device. I have a lot of friends who are not technically proficient in things to the degree that I am. And so often times it was a question asked by a friend of mine and with solid information provided by your channel I was able to give a solid recommendation for the person who needed the help.
