    The lens is industry standard b4 these cameras are very cool and can give excellent results one of my fave cams . I use a sony h r mcr1 with the hvra back connected via FireWire this gives me both tape and tapeless recording I use the tapes for backup

    A little trick if you have a 570 with faulty deck.. Find a tiny Sony Handycam with DV in… Mount it to the 570 and connect FireWire cable.. Set Handy cam ro play/vcr mode.. Now use 570 hopefully pressing REC will activate Handycam recording perfectly….

      Good trick. DV connection is useful.

    Hello! i've got a question that seems unanswerable on the internet: I got a DSR 570ws and it worked great out at first with the v-mount battery i put on there, after testing it out i went through all the menus and noticed that the voltages we're accurate to the v mount battery so i tried to look at it in the menus and no voltages were changing so i figured it was just look and see (much like hours). when i got out of the menu i had a constant battery low warning. charged up the v mount and powered on, the warning remained despite the voltage reading 15v.
    I read the manual front to back and theres a procedure regarding changing the settings along with AC power and the DVCAM tape (still currently waiting on that to arrive to me). Do you happen to know of a way to remedy this odd situation? is it just a dud battery in terms of compatibility despite it working just fine at first? Most importantly is there a way to factory reset this camera's settings?
    Thank you for taking the time to ready this, any help or words on this would be a great!

      I am not sure. presumably there is a configuration for the voltage level the battery warning starts at? Service manual might tell you.

    49:21 while you moved it the color went out entirely. you plan on making another video about it?

      Interesting something did happen at that point. Maybe something loose moved.
      I don't have any plans for it currently. I have piles of other equipment I want to make videos about, when I have a chance. Work and other activities have keep me busy lately.

Brand new with lens and battery and power supply I think I paid close to 10 grand. hi, I bought a similar one (dsr 450wsp) for little money without a kit... I bought a 4-pin XLR connector and connected it to the camera via a computer power supply (the polarity is correct). but the problem is that when you turn it on, the camera tries to turn on but it doesn’t work (as if the power supply of the camera itself is being protected). Do you have any versions of what could be wrong? I’m not a master and don’t really understand)) Thanks in advance

    • @Elecami
      @Elecami  8 месяцев назад

      Could be a fault on the camera. Could be that the power supply does not like the load of the camera. Would take more investigation to determine which is the problem.

    This cam’s external power input (4 pin socket ) is voltage tolerant so boxing 8 18650s in 4s2p providing 16v down to 12v with no regulation works perfectly…

      Thanks. Nice they have made it flexible like that. Probably to handle the different number of NiCad and NiMh battery packs.
