At 1:06 To change all of the bus outputs... hold Shift/Option then click and choose which channel you want to send the signal to. Make sure you have highlighted any and all channel that you want to change.: )
I guess the amount of the wet dry ratio of the parallel comp should always match the energy of the tune. Surely one of the best ways to enhance drums (& low end).
I found the education per square minute of this video quite weighty. It helped me make connections between intent and plugin knobs. Nice depth, made easy to grock.
The bass is so flabby and hyped in this video it totally covers up what he is doing. What he is doing is great. However y’all have compressed and mixed this video is very hard to learn from.
An 8 minute excerpt and exactly half of it is about compression. What is it with sound engineers and compressors? Surely there must be more to micing than the eternal yapping about compression.. is that the only thin sound engineers know about?
To be fair, the video is called "Parallel Drum Processing". Of course it has to do with a lot of compression, otherwise, the skills of the mixer would be debatable.
I don't know about you, but if I clicked on a video titled "(Drums) Using Parallel Compression" and the guy started getting into the finer details of micing I'd be pretty disappointed.
i love how this guy actually explained his thought process for his eq moves. what a lad
Thank you very much
I love watching Jacquire, he's a wonderful educator 👍
