Thanks for sharing! I liked your humorous presentation of a visiting pilot's experience on a non-epic day. I noticed you with a bv1 and wonder if you have anything to share about your impressions of it. Durability, roll stability, lack of fairing . Cheers!
Get excited every time I see that notification of a new video. I had my first few weeks of flying in the Alps around Annecy and the Aravis just a few weeks ago too, so this was awesome to reminisce on! Make sure you get down to South Africa one day mate! Some epic flying awaits🤟
I was at the same area like 1 week before you, would have been nice to meet you and volbiv with you. You were/are a bit of an inspiration for me - I did a journey from annecy to austria in 4 days via hike and fly :) awesome production quality!
Stoked you’re posting videos again! Damn it looks beautiful there. Would love to see a high level trace of your flight at the end, maybe just a basic screen shot of your log on xcontest for context because I also don’t know the area. Gonna go look for it now. Yeow!
Nice one bro amazing ! I actually wanted to ask you the other day in the car if you've ever been to Annecy. Think I have my answer ! Crazy to think we've been flying the same area not so long ago, and it worked better for me for the crossing haha ! :)
When are you back in NZ if not already? I spotted someone having a fly around near Lake Hawea the other day and thought oh I wonder if that might be the dude from RUclips! lol 🤣😁🤘
I see you're using the Baist liners in this video. When it's cold, what do you use as the outer layer: glove, mitten, or trigger mitten? I'm looking into buying a pair due to you mentioning them!
Awesome! I use the Trigger Mitt, I take off with just the liners and gave the trigger mitt in the side pocket on my pod and then if/when it gets cold I put them on. The separated index finger makes it really nice to fly the rear riser toggles but you still have the benefit of shared body heat of the other fingers 🤓
@@BenjaminKellett I was thinking the trigger mitt as well since normal mittens are difficult for rear risers. And have you found the sizing to be true to their sizing chart or did you go up or down at all?
So I have an external lapel mic that runs through the gopro, I then link the audio to the insta 360 in premier where I also do a bit of magic in noise/wind reduction through the software.
@@BenjaminKellett Thanks for the info. Really some of the best quality audio for any paraglider on youtube. Keep up the great work, am really enjoying the content!
Would love to see an aftermovie of your trip to Europe😃. It's always interesting to hear what foreign pilots think about flying in the Alps. Is it similar to flying in New Zealand?
I’m always curious about foreign pilots flying my local mountains too, the Sierra Nevada’s west side. It’s pretty big air and going down deep can mean days to hike out, but just imagining what someone like Ben, or Chrigel could do here is intriguing.
Nice vid bro… great angle of the video… please help us here produce something nice… hence may i ask… How do you attach your video extension stick at that angle… do you use a sound record mic near your helmet…?😊.
Thanks mate, I attach the camera to the carabiner with a "Small rig Clamp Mount" and I use the insta 360 invisible selfie stick. I run the audio through the gopro which has an external mic adapter and a lapel mic.
Hey Ben, just enjoying your Annecy vid - what an XC genius you are! Loved my tour there in 2003, so you've brought back some great memories, too! And, I'm wondering what your plans are when Ayvri goes kerputt 😔
@@BenjaminKellett Hello Ben ! I use SportsTrackLive and it's quite nice ! Nice XC flight by the way. I fly a lot around Annecy, and some of your choice are unusual but very interesting !
Benjamin, super psyched to see this pop up in my feed. Lovely filming and editing (as per usual). Have a really great trip.
Cheers mate!!
He's back baby! Nice. Some more work disruptive travel logs from Mr Kellett. It's like a day off without leaving my desk
Awesome!!! 😎
Nice! I'm heading to Annecy in June. Now, I am even more excited!
Have fun!
What we really need is a lawn mower paraglider combo vid. If Ben could bring those together, his status would sky rocket
🤣🤣
Nice surprise to see a new video from you this morning!🎉
Thanks mate!! More to come!

hello - good Fly but for the return PARMELAN > veyrier : you are on the fly area of ANNECY AIPORT ??
Great video Ben! How do you record audio? Sounds super clear!

Yeah cool!! Ah it is similar in the sense of mountain flying, but different I guess. New Zealand is a lot more wild.

Is it possible to do this flight in a B sail?
;-)
😎

🤣🤣🤣
Just butchers the French language😂
