  • Easy drop stitch infinity scarf on the Addi King. Its a quick easy project to complete. Knitting is not my skill but I sure looks like professional work ,lol. The Drop stitch scarf made on the circular knitting machine is easier than you think. This same scraf can be made on the Addi Pro also. Hopefully this how to tutorial will be something you can add to your play list. More Addi Express scarf to come. Sorry for the volume in the fist 2 mins of the video. Hopefully I will be able to order a microphone soon to improve the quality of my tutorials.
    Materials:
    Hook 4mm & 5mm
    Yarn worsted weight
    Needle
    Scissors
    Addi express Pattern:
Full cast on 6 Rows if waste yarn
Knit 100 rows of main color (leave long tail)
Cast off, secure every other stitch (odd #'s)
Remove from machine (leave long tail)
Secure all loops on waste yarn side
    Remove waste yarn
Begin dropping stitches from cast off end down the length of the scarf
Pull both ends close and sew shut with tails
Sew both end together to create infinity scarf

Great video! Just a thought for those that are comfortable with kitchner- instead of pulling both ends closed you could flatten both ends and kitchner stitch them together so the seam would be invisible.

I need to learn how to do that. I never know the appropiate name for terms, lol. Now i know Kitchner...Off to youtube for a lesson lol

Wonderful drop stitch scarf! I usually don't like them, but yours looks so nice. I agree with you that variegated yarn is works very well for this project. Re: video requests: I would like to see what you can do with 'socks' on the small addi machine... with heels. (not after thought heels where you cut the yarn and then hand knit) Thank you so much for that nice close up detail showing how you cast off. That was great! Loving this but have one question: why cast on with waste yarn? A regular one-on-one-off cast on will give you an end that you can pull up like a drawstring also.. would that not work? thanks!

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  7 лет назад +3

rinzerider on my normal scarf it works without using waste yarn. I just take it off and drawstring close. With the drop stitches it continues to be unsucure from the bottom and will unravel from the cast on edge. I hope that makes sense, lol. I learned the hard way😋 I hope that made sense
