You have same goal as I do.. I am growing my own.. I am self taught books that bees don't read... I try, fail, adapt. Keep what ever works. The try some more. Hopefully I will have 5o or more into winter.
I think if I don't get crazy and bust a couple up I'll winter 40 but 50 has a much nicer ring and I got some triple deeps that could definitely make a few strong ones each..I have had a bunch of shenanigan problems lol but I got something for em now!
Awesome job brother , starting off with 14 frames , your going to be ok , the hard knocks is what will make us better bee keepers , perseverance, determination , ambition even with the struggles , and even then there is still the enjoyment that drives the passion above it all to love and nurture the bees you care about even when you get stung or lose colonies or bad weather keeping you from them . But the love of bees keeps you in sleeping and dreaming bees and waking to find what is next around the corner when you open a hive and start all over again, go get em bad ass bees. 👍
Thanks brother I got thieves, haters,murder hornets and flooding and couple Varroa probs that tried to take me out but I'm about back where I was,I got some new stuff for the thieves and haters,murder hornets been trapped out for awhile hopefully and Varroa always gets a few but I got most really healthy I could make a serious amount of Nucs and be a serious sideliner soon but I still have a career so...who knows but it's been a ton of work to build back up and I don't know anyone else that has ever been able to around here so I'm pretty proud,it can be normal to double,hards to triple.. to go from 14 frames to a packed 36 count is unheard of people probably don't believe I didn't buy Nucs but I didn't,I actually would have but I was working when they where selling em..God can open doors and make things happen that are unbelievable to some,I got the spark from him so I try to use it all I know...
@@badassbees3680 ... thanks buddy , hang in there don’t worry what others might say etc , there will always be assholes no matter how good a person one can be , keep doin what your doin mate , I love nucs they build up fast when you get good conditions so I know you can build up the numbers easily but we know things happen with bees , never text book always something happens , you love the bees mate keep at em and ignore the nay sayers , there will always be those around , your you tube channel will grow many of us love your videos , soldier on brother . 👍
One who takes his honey off in time. I tried working a hive at night once but they really went off on me so I quit. But I have all day to play with them. I was thinking trying again with a red light next time.
I REALLY thought they would to,in my experience a light is a Bullseye 🎯 I really thought it was going to get crazy and I had myself pumped up to take it lol but then it didn't happen but once 😂🤣😂
I want to stay under a fick tree on 40c drinking something cold and watch - "comand" some younger guys working for me on 60c sun all day. I tried it this summer in jun.. They did more in a week then i cood do in a month
@@badassbees3680 yeah.. But they payed me to come work for me. It's an apiary over a beach with a bar open 24/7. If you write "kamenice beach" and find a video with lots of big Aloas, ppl party 24/7.. my bees are 50m up.
