- Omer Neutra, a Long Island native, is among the more than 100 people still held hostage by Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza, following the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.
Neutra's parents spoke with LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow as their son has been in captivity for more than 200 days.
Israeli officials have also warned Hamas and a top Egyptian delegation that this is the "last chance" for the terror group to accept a deal to release those hostages before Israel launches its long-planned Rafah offensive.

First time in history I see an American government not caring about their hostages.

a POW is someone captured by the enemy during active warfare/fighting.
Omer, nor any of the hostages who were serving in the IDF, were active in war. They were simply doing their two year mandatory training.
All hostages and murdered victims were relaxing on a holiday when Hamas made a surprise attack.

Ive had just one question I want someone to answer. Where people say "do whatever it takes", do they mean they want the Israeli government to stop, pull out, and surrender to Hamas? As in, since that's the only way they'll return whatever hostages that may still be alive, are they OK with that, despite that meaning that Israel will continue to be attacked and eventually have to do this again?

He was in his own country defending their border. Why does it matter what he is considered? He is a hostage either way. His country was invaded. It would be like Mexicans taking one of our border guards or national guard as a hostage. As long as our country allows dual citizenship, then he has every right to be in the Israeli army. I feel very bad for this family and all the hostages and all the innocent people. But I can’t help but be a little annoyed that they are wanting help from the United States when he went and decided to serve in the military of a country besides ours.
