Hi Mr D, is it possible to have a voice warning if your engine gets too hot? (Gas engines) Ill be using the R10pro rx and rpm with temp sensor/telemetry. Thanks and much appreciate your vids
Sure. Any telemetry sensor can be used by logic switches. So just set up a logic switch that is activated when the temperature is too high. Then use that logic switch to trigger a special function to alert you.
Hi Mr.D I know, this is an old tutorial. I have an X20 PRO with Ethos 1.5.15 (the latest version). In my firmware, the parameters in the free mix, are different from yours. I made a lot of trials for having a pot for adjust a second mix (the rudd-ele), but I cannot find the right way to do it. Any ideas ?
Found three omnibus F3 nano boards in a box. What config did they last work on. I bought them for quads years ago but misplaced them & it says not supported but I downloaded the last omnibus hex inav has & it flashed but can only access the cli & alter stuff. Nothing else. Has anybody any idea which config this board will run on. If any. I have matek f4wings in my other builds but if I can get these going I may get myself an EDF motor & some zagi wings off ebay & do a stupid fast 6s for down the beach.
Jan, you’re effectively using the pot mix as you would have set up an input on OpenTX. The only additional part. Is the channel. Personally, I would have preferred an Inputs to keep things clean. But apparently it was not added to ETHOS because people coming from Spektrum or Futaba (both of which have horrible transmitter menus) would find it too confusing.
@@MrD Sure…. I agree with the choice getting rid of the Inputs, thats fine. Also I like to use the trim mix to adjust values, rather than a pot. To have them persistent But for inexperienced people or to enhance speed and ease of use I think it would be a good thing to set min/max when you add a pot or slider as weight input. Its very uncommon you use +/-100 as a weight. If you need to do smth funky you still can use the path via channel.
If I fly INAV, shall I set my expo in FC or in radio? I was told/learned to have minimum config on radio side and configure most things in FC. But I’m not sure about expo settings now. This trick is really nice. Any downside of having expo zero in FC and control it via radio?
Wonderful video!
Thank you very much 🙂
Very useful !!
Thanks Frank 👍🏻
Excellent! Thank ye kind sir!
Thanks 👍🏻
Very helpful, thanks! 👍
Glad it was helpful Pete 👍🏻
Works perfect. Very much liking this X18. Really like ethos a lot can't say enough good things about it honestly. Appreciate your help
Glad I could help Ruby 🙂
Could it be possible to do the same but for the differential Daren please ?hope you’ll find a solution 😊
It may work the same way. There is a differential option in the ailerons mixer. Just try it and see 👍🏻

F3 will only work with INAV 2.6 and earlier. The reason it jumps to CLI is because the Configurator version doesn’t match the firmware version.
@@MrD thank you so much for that answer. Be a shame to waste 3 pristine boards.
It still feels awkward having to use these additional channels just to modify a pot as an input
you can however this method a: removes the -ve value and b: adds a controlled amount (from 20-40)

I have no idea what you are describing 🫢
