सिकाडा (Cicadas) एक प्रकार के कीड़े हैं जो अपने जीवन का अधिकांश समय भूमिगत रूप से बिताते हैं और 13-17 वर्षों के बाद ये कीट मिट्टी से बाहर निकलते हैं। एक बार मिट्टी से बाहर निकलने के बाद इनका जीवनकाल अत्यंत छोटा (दो-चार हफ्तों के बीच) होता है।
Cicadas are a type of insects that spend most of their life underground and emerge out of the soil after 13-17 years. Once out of the soil, they have a short life span.
