George Bryan is from South Carolina and very popular there. It was very appropriate for him to be given the opportunity.

exactly - I mean context is everything. (haha!)
If this tournament was in Fiefdom, England where trolls hang out (based on this clickbait Pod) Peter would have got the invite. haha!

Good response. George and Matt imo both earned a spot. Honestly, George is good for the sport -class act and down to earth.

The correct answer is - regardless of whatever the bell-end on the right thinks, the tournament has the right to give a sponsors exemption to whoever the hell they want. George is obviously the caliber of player to be playing within the tournament, and the context of the whole situation made sense. Class response from Pete!

Without a doubt he will bring more eyes to the event than the other dude that won the spot.

They gave that rando Morgan Deneen an exemption too, lol. Must be connected to them in some way

    I'm happy for George.
Often these sponsor exemptions go to some lame rich person with connections.

George had a bit of bad luck at 18 .Maybe that made is easy to give him an invite .

If you are sponsoring an event you should be allowed to invite anyone you want. The sense of entitlement some golf pros have is beyond belief. If the people paying for the tournament want to invite George or anyone else that’s their call. A lot of people will have attended or had their attention drawn to the facility by George. A far better commercial decision than another obscure low ranked player.
