I keep seeing that purple/brown sauce in a lot of your dishes (reminds me of refried black beans) what is this side dip/dish?
That is poi, a staple Hawaiian dish made of steamed and mashed taro mixed with water.
What happens if you don't peel the stems?
It can be stringy and itchy.
