    I wouldn't look at it as "justifying" the action you took, I would look at it as offering a different perspective to someone that might be in the same situation and was on the fence about walking away from their lease and hadn't thought about some of the points you made. What they decide to do with that information is as personal to them as it was to you and no one should fault you or anyone else for making whatever decision they deem appropriate for their family or their situation. Personally, I appreciate hearing information like this because sometimes I do base my decisions on the information gained from other people's experience.

    Bro I would never talk on RUclips about my truck because that’s your business no one but you show your trips and your loads your on point that’s your business have a great day

    • @Peruviantrucker
      @Peruviantrucker  10 дней назад

      Also. There is a lot of variables. How I run my truck and the loads available at that point in time are a factor. Some people can probably make more. A lot will probably make less because they stop more/take breaks.
      Then there is the lifestyle. My money goes further because of my lifestyle. It will be different for virtually everyone else.

    So you were paying around $1,100/week… how much you pay now on your new truck, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m researching before getting into trucking myself. Thanks!

    I did the same thing you did, I did it 10 years ago, I understand completely what you’re doing and the way you see it, but do not expect these clowns watching your videos to understand that there is a thing called “seeing the big picture” most of these idiots are here just waiting for you to fail to tell you “I told you so”
    I have purchased 3 trucks so far with Prime and I’m sure I have made more money than most of these super truckers talking shit on your comment section.

      I see the big picture . I see big mega carriers monopolizing this industry , thanks to you guys .
      I see you guys getting lower and lower rates , lower and lower miles .
      I see most of you guys going bankrupt and being more dependent of those corporations.
      I see you guys becoming slaves of your own ego, stupidity , ignorance .
      I see more and more truckers being exploited and abused by those few mega carriers .
      You think because you bought more trucks you are successful????
      Do you paid to your drivers at least 1 dollar per mile , medical benefits , vacation , 401k ? Do you ?
      If you don’t , then you are just like those mega carriers and corporations . You are perpetuating the abuse and exploitation.
      That is the future I see , thanks to you guys .

    There are too many places out there to lease a truck where you are the actual owner and can do whatever you want to do with the truck. The only reason to deal with companies like Prime is to get over the road experience. That experience is going to cost you one way or another as long as you navigate what prime offers correctly you should never be any bitching over finding out after the fact what you should have taken the time to research ahead of time.

    • @HeathenTrucker
      @HeathenTrucker 15 дней назад

    Hey my friend, I have literally stopped posting for up to a month at a time because of the comment section and I did the same thing you did. I gave up my lease but two months before because my truck came in. I do not regret it you’ve got to do what’s best for you And think of it this way you quit your lease Ten months early but your truck will be paid off 10 months early also and how much will all those weekly payments that you’re not paying for those 10 months be worth? I guarantee you it’s a lot more than your end of the lease bonus

  • @Bold11x
    @Bold11x Месяц назад

    I’d be interested to know the long term math on both. I think prime will only allow a paid off truck to run in their fleet for a couple years before they make you get a new one so does the math even work out for the driver over let’s say a 10 yr period on 2 leased trucks. I’d be willing to bet it really doesn’t matter…

    • @Peruviantrucker
      @Peruviantrucker  Месяц назад +1

      Honestly the math is very simple long term in my opinion. Once the truck is paid off That is instantly an extra 50k per year you run it. With a standard lease you barely scratch 30k after 3 years running solo.
      New Lease purchase agreement is 3-4 years. Limit to run the truck on primes fleet is 7 years. So you get at least 3 years with no truck payment at Prime. Of course, half way through your contract you can pull the truck off the fleet and explore other opportunities. I am not crapping on lease. It fits some the needs/plans of some people. But theres bigger potential in lease purchase.
      Also. People shit on Prime because the truck payment is too high… Personally, I rather have a truck paid off in 3-4 years.

    I wouldn't call any piece of equipment a lease purchase, that you do not have full autonomy over using to make money how you see fit. You not being able to take that equipment and make money however you want, basically makes you a contract slave, in no way are you a lease purchaser, with restrictions on use, but no load guarantees.

    I was in your position a year ago. The way the economy was going I couldn’t justify a $1,300 a week truck note for another lease or lease purchase. What I did was complete my lease, then purchased the truck I was already leasing. My payment went down to $750 a week and it’s on a 2 year plan, so I’ll own the truck in a year from now.

  • @hebrewworld8872

    It’s not a good decision, why return d truck dat has worked well for u for over 2 yrs, no break downs essentially, truck has been put tru it’s paces without issues , less Dan 300k miles. I guess u put down $14k as deposit on dis new truck, in 3 years when done paying off d truck it would almost be old iron in primed estimation and won’t last too long on prime’s DOT
