I want too thank you so much for this video on getting Gaston’s character I have stuck on this part for a month and thought it was a glitch because I couldn’t turn one of the switches in the up position. So I emailed support twice they said they would fix it in this big update today.They didn’t now I know why all I needed was that mirror I forgot I had.😂😊
THANK YOU so much for your guide! I had looked through three and was still stuck!! I couldn't get that 2nd light to the door but your guide was easy to follow even though I had already finished parts of the puzzle!

I’ve tried to follow the scarab but everytime I leave Gaston’s encampment, my game crashes & now I can’t find the scarab!! Edit: I found a fix around it, I reinstalled my game & now I am able to complete the quest!!
i cant seem to find the scarab next to the sand no matter how hard i try, your video is super helpful though! seems like i might just have a glitch sadly
This quest is so messed up for me. Did everything you did, says the door is open but it’s not. I thought maybe I did something wrong and it would reset in a day or so but nothing has changed. It won’t let me do anything and Gaston has been standing outside in the same spot for days 😂 I don’t know what to do.
In today's hot fix for switch, steam and epic (other platforms coming later), they say one of the things they fixed was "“Diamond is Rough” quest blocked where door does not open has been resolved. " I'm not sure if that is your situation, but hopefully that fixes it. For now, at least you'll always know where to find Gaston, haha
It took me a while to check all of my chests to figure out where I put it since I got the two of them a little far apart. I wish we had singular storage or a separate quest items/special items inventory or something to make it easier
I’m playing on my iPhone on the arcade version and mine has glitched out and I can’t complete the quest 😢 I accidentally switched back some of the levers as I thought I needed to but now I can’t pull the levers anymore so the laser won’t line up with the door :( it says it’s open but it’s not 😢
oh no! Yesterday at some point, they released a patch for the arcade version that was supposed to fix the cave of wonders, you might need to go all the way to the game page in the apple arcade app store, wait a minute and then it'll let you update (that's what I have to do for other games)hopefully that fixes it. if not, be sure to report it in bugs since they think they've fixed it
If you cook food and eat enough of it, your blue energy bar at the top of the screen will go yellow and sparkly. When it is yellow, you can hold down the sprint/glide button to go fast - for me on switch I think it is b, but it will say in tiny text at the bottom left of the screen. I don't think the game ever tells you that.
We did it on this stream - ruclips.net/video/uKf4dL5BNNY/видео.html start at 3:49:37 for just before going to take the picture. I had cleared the stuff in front of it earlier so I could walk right up to it, but you probably have to clear some things to get close
@@sproutsiesproutplus I think the cave of wonders is probably suppose to be like an extra cave we can go into to see if there’s anything new in there kind of like how we can go back into the caves on dazzle beach

I accidentally didn’t charge one of my power cords and I’ve been stuck on this quest for months!! And I have no idea how to do it 😭
Either the yellow chest was bugged or the camera angle ruined it so no idea if I picked up that drop...
It’s not letting me pick up the jewel. Any ideas for that?
Maybe make sure you aren’t hanging out with anyone? I don’t think I’ve come across that before

How did you get that ice glide thing that makes you go faster??

The patch notes today said that is a bug that Wednesday's update will fix!
Is it a one time thing or can you visit the cave afterwards as well?
It stays there and still has the enter thing on it after so I think we can go back in
@@sproutsiesprout you can definitely go back in the cave of wonders there’s some extra chests in there and I’ve been back in there multiple times
