- A walk in the busy downtown area of Diego-Suarez. Full of vendors, small restaurants, markets and more.
Diego Suarez is my favorite city in Madagascar so far. Not too big, not too small, lots of cafes, restaurants , boulangeries. With some tourists and nightlife unlike other cities I have been in recently.
I'm from Somalia/Djibouti. however, I have some Family that live in Nosy Be since the 1930s. My mother is half Malagasy
I’ve been watching alllll your videos about Diego Suarez. Can you please show us less crowed places such as la pyrotechnic? Love your work btw
Thank You. I have never heard of la pyrotechnic, will check it out online.
The tall girl at the beginning - nice
Good sight seeing, thanks for sharing.
The only reason i wanna go there is becoz the women there r 🔥
well, what a naughty, naughty boy you are
Are there any good beaches for swimming over there?
near Diego Suarez is a beach Called La Ramena. It is a nice beach, you can take a tuk tuk taxi there from the streets as the road going there is very smooth.
I lived in a hut for a month in a small beach resort 15kms from there i think its called Ramaner
Yes, La Ramena, nice beach I was there for a day.
Quelle honte !!!
Would somebody be interested to laungh a real "Express bus line" between mayor cities in Madagascar? I'll take part of it, I'll even take it's management; But the bus travels will cost the double from the "taxi brousse price" but I think that many persons are ready to pay it.
Some 2nd hand busses from Europe (with a toilet on board!!) or elsewhere, a licence and it is lauched. I pay the first bus, who's up for the second?
Malagasy have more money than you think but it's hidden under their sofa. Nobody wants to travel under their conditions, they are awful.
I'd give a shit on saving some 10 bucks on a travel Ambilobe-Sambava, if only that bus would leave in time and offer some confort other than a wooden bench without backrest and I think that some 30-50% of the other passengers would have too. Nobody refuses some more confort.
The left one looks like Kiwi Sweet.
Nice sights and scenes.
Is it Safe to walk the streets of Diago at Night or is it Dangerous at Night????
@jackholman5008 What do you mean By That????
I don't Understand.
@@johnschirloff836 you can walk around at night by better not bring some valuables
I agree... Diego is great. I live there now.
What is the Madagascar staple food ? Do they eat rice like Asian people ?
yes a lot of rice, they also have these noodle and soup dishes that are quite delicious.
Diego Suarez ❤
Loving it bro... your doing a great job!
Any American pool tables there??
I saw one in a place called La Vahinee, which is a restaurant/bar. patio. a good place to hang out during the day. The wifi there is strong.
@pddembowski Thank you.. enjoy your vids. If your ever in Angeles city Philippines look me up.
Hola ya que conoces madagascar
Unas preguntas :
Hello Paul - I was interested in the type of camera you use to film walking videos ? Thinking of buying an action camera - great work on these videos btw , I find them very relaxing to watch - please don't stop.
I use a GOPRO 10. You can buy all sorts of accessories. Don't be fooled by cheap Chinese clone cameras on AMAZON, they always have issues.
Is it true that the GOPRO's freeze from time to time and overheat or is that just something that could happen rarely ? @@pddembowski
@@MrBird666 I've used them in very hot climate , occasionally they overheat but so does my iphone
Thanks again for the videos and the tip@@pddembowski
Can I find an English speaking tour guide there
So, DS is better than Toliara or Tamatave?
I would return to all 3 cities. Tamatave has a decent beach right there, it's more of a party town. I liked Tulear also. Diego is my favorite but not by much.
As malagasy , tamatave is the best than those 3 listed above. In term of beach, nossy be and sainte marie are the best for all the beach in madagascar.
Bonjour, question:
This is really Cuba
is it hot in there? thanks for the vid btw ❤
Diego Suarez is not too hot, but down south in Majunga it gets very hot.
Have you been in manakara? Or antsirabe ?
no I haven't. Manakara looks interesting and it's a coastal town. But looking at the map seems like a brutal bus trip to get there.
@@pddembowski the solution is to make some rest from tana, in ambositra, antsirabe, then ranomafana, the road is brand New, or you Can take the train that is awesome
What language do people there speak? I saw a signboard in French (PHOTOCOPIE-IMPRESSION)
French & Malagasy. Most people in Diego Suarez speak French well, in the South & smaller towns you will find many people speaking only Malagasy.
After 5 years there i learn malagasy language
The best place in Diego is ramena beach
@@gabrielepalomba6165It's 18 kms away so not really suitable for everyday life.
You have Polish surname kolego;)😊😊
Why are most mandagascar people that i met in indonesia proud of their country
Excellent question, that place look dusty af
Because they had to fight off the French government for their independence.
Of course who doesn't pride for their country??? You are not proud to be indonesian?
As malagasy, we are very patriotisme we really like our country cause it's beautiful country you only see in the pictures but if you see it directly you can see how beautiful it is.
What was the name of the $35 hotel? Thanks
hotel kozobe, I would book online because the rooms are taken quickly. It was actually $30 per night, unbelievable..
This is how sri lanka looked in 1980s
Cela a bien changer.
Moi aussi. Je ne reconnais plus l'endroit 🙂
I love how everyone is dressed up 😍
Sexy femme Madagascar Gril ❤❤😢😢😢
Is it hard to find someone who speak English there?
Yes it is. In Diego you will see quite a few French expats, very few speak English, none of the locals speak English. If I didn't speak decent French I don't think I would come here, maybe Nosy Be which has a lot of tourists.
C est a paris ou bruxelles?
i would like to go for a trip to Madagascar but am affraid of Malaria
you should come and take precautions, Malaria is present in almost all african and some asians country
Le baisodrome
east and southern africans are isolated from our malagasy neighbors due to language barrier. want to visit there soon.
Are you still here, I'm an American, been living here for 4years now..
HI, no I left Madagascar in mid November.
@@pddembowski ok. No worries, next time.
Bad sound, nice images.
I aint Europe so get used to it or go back home !
Huh? I loved it in Diego am going back in a couple months. Not sure what your going on about. Too much to drink tonight?
their streets are so clean tho in comparison to..
And your ass ? It's so clean ???
Great Video, Cheers 🍺🍺
I want to go bu I dont know if safe ?
Diego Suarez? yes it is safe there day and night in my opinion.
Just was there in Ocotber 2023 for 3 weeks - the first time after 9 years. Still looks the same. Really good place if you look for good food and nightlife. Nevertheless got a bit bored but will definitely go back there in 9 years again
yes it can get dull after a couple weeks. Maybe go to Ramena beach, Ambilobe or Sambava for a bit for a change of scenery.
So every 9 years... well then I should also return.
I was there until 1985, so I will return every 40 years, in 2025
How is the sewage and water system. Thanks
It's like other countries in Africa. Need to boil water, sometimes there is no water for an hour or 2. Hot water depends on where you stay. In 2013 I was in Dakar, Senegal. A major water pipe burst and there was no water in the city for 2 weeks. Was not pleasant after a few days.
@@pddembowski Thanks 👍👍
Can I rent bnb,,,
AirBnb? yes but the selection is not good. There are quite a few decent inexpensive hotels in Diego.
I can suggest you some air bnb good plans in here, pm me if interested
Madagascar is Asia or Africa??
Africa.. but alot of people look like they are mixed Asian. I remember seeing someone I was sure was Chinese, my friend said no, the person was Malagasy.
@@pddembowski your video showed the opposite
Mixed Indonesia-Mozambique
Madagascar = Ethiopia Egypt Israel ❤.
How about the young ladies?
It's look like India
Nice place @johnygabad
Can smoke weed there?
