  • Vasa Ship inside Vasa Museum in Stockholm, Sweden is the only preserved 17th century warship in the world. The ship was designed to be the most modern, most beautiful warship during that era. It was built from 1626 to 1628 but sank during its maiden voyage.

    never realized before but the front of the Flying Dutchman from the Pirates of the Carribean movies looks like the front of the Vasa

    Still hoping for a sailing replica at the 400th anniversary but it is looking more and more unlikely.
