Alan instruction is good if he was not interrupted continuously by the gentleman on the right who by the way was not needed for this video. thank you alan
Steven Mason Thanks so much, for the spelling. Sure wish more instructional videos like this would put the name on the video on the screen so we could pause and write it down.
Much more interesting to see things like guitars being done. Search those videos out, where they'll dip entire guitars into drums of water. They refer to it as SWIRL PAINTING, not marbling.
KK - Swirling a guitar is also less of an art and more throwing shit at a canvas. I typically see people swirl by dipping a guitar in a bucket or tub, and just taking the pattern as it lands rather than working it like in marbling.
For doing things such as tops I would use finger nail polish.. I have a friend who does coffee mugs with finger nail polish.. and water is all that is needed and it dries really fast.. and also leaves a shiny surface..
Can you describe the materials ? Because I, have not been able to find the gelatin or thickening product for the water and also were you find aluminum ? Thank you love all the info new at this art
hello! Another question.. what exactly do you put on the wood that the acrylic color stick? .. You mention it in the video, but same here, I can't understand it well.. would be amazing if you can help me out! saludos
Gina Cottichio I take that back. Read your question wrong. You use alum (mixed in water) to treat it first and then use carrageenan or methocel in the water for the paint.
Hello ! Very interesting ! Could you right down the name of the main products you use please because I do not speak English very well and didn't understand the powder used (sea weed ?). Thank you.
Carrageenans or carrageenins extracted from red edible seaweeds, Their main application is in dairy and meat products, due to their strong binding to food proteins. Carrageenan is a vegetarian and vegan alternative to gelatin in some applications, although it cannot replace gelatin in confectionery like jelly babies. 2 table spoons per gallon of water, warning its a thicking agent, it will make the water very thick, this is how it holds the patterns of color paints.
Calvin Bridges add 2 tablespoons of carrageenan powder into 1 gallon of water, stir it and let it sit for 12 hours for thicking the water, its good for 3 days (72 hours) than you have to water down liquid acrylic paints and use eye dropers to drop the liquid acrylic paint to put on the water mixture, always prime the wood first in order for the paint to stick, use combs, needles, pine needles, to make patterns, then dip the primed wood on to the surface of the solution, the pattern will stick to the wood, let it dry for 1 or 2 weeks , then polish with floor wax to give it shine. make sure you have no air in the solution
Calvin Bridges Well thank you very much for your help ! Very kind of you. I just need to find this product know, I will probably have to order it in the United States. Can't wait to try it !

there are so many things you can create once you have the solution set up for example Rare Earth Aluminate luminous pigment Glow in The Dark powder DIY Paint just mix it with what every acrylic inks or paints make sure you add 2x or 3x more water to the paint to make then light in order to float, than add Rare Earth Aluminate luminous pigment Glow in The Dark powder DIY Paint you can apply it to an unlimited amount of things to glow in the dark with those creative one of a king marble effects, t shirts and abstracted painting, GLOW IN THE DARK clothes get paid lots of money for your works, and more. Now if your into resin jewelry making you can take your marble effects to a whole another level with Powder Pigment Resin Colorant Epoxy Dye 1 oz Candy Colors Jewelry Making, especially making your own mold jewelries or anything and hardern it wit clear epoxy, all you need is silicone putty making molds food grade mould non-toxic decoden resin clay (300g), just pour the 2 part clear epoxy into silicone putty making molds food grade mould non-toxic decoden resin clay (300g), then let it hardern and apply the powder pigment resin colorant epoxy dye, then marblize it, you can sell these hot items, but it does take time to make them, but for a low cost and high profit return, I hope this help.
Advice to the guy in the gray shirt: Quit interrupting! The demonstrator was doing well without your "help." Just let him demonstrate, and if anything is left unclear, you can ask him to clarify it. But you kept sidetracking the presentation with parenthetical remarks and questions until the main thread is lost.
Great job guys! I like having a second person as they usually think of questions we would have.

The product that seems to be causing problems is Carrageenan. took me ages to find out, but here it is.
Steven Mason Thanks so much, for the spelling. Sure wish more instructional videos like this would put the name on the video on the screen so we could pause and write it down.
Wish there was a list of supplies to do it yourself.

What did you rinse the knob in after? Water?
Yeah, you just rinse it in water afterwards
YES

aaand.. with what are you liquifying the colors?
carrageenan or you can use methocel. I believe the methocel is cheaper.
Gina Cottichio I take that back. Read your question wrong. You use alum (mixed in water) to treat it first and then use carrageenan or methocel in the water for the paint.
Liquid starch also works for floating acrylic paints, you will need a rinse tray as well.
Sir, are these acrylic paint?
It was said many times that the paints were acrylic

Nice work …
But "alum" ?…
How do you spell that ?
(sorry English is not my native tongue)…
I cannot make it into my own language.
Thank you
Alum (aluminum sulphate)
Thank you so much.
Cheers !
Let. Him. Speak.
Good job - this guy doing the work knows what he is doing. The guy on the right is annoying.

FYI I just looked that book up on amazon and it's selling new for over a hundred dollars :(
@2:29; Tim mentioned oil paint. Obviously he doesn't know marbling.
Marbling can be done with oil paints, specifically because oil floats on water. He may be annoying, but he's not always wrong.
We used oil paints for marbling when I was in grade school. What does he/you not know about marbling??
@@KrazeeKraftZ, hi my bad. Yes, marbling can be done using oil paint, although traditionally its using water color paints
Good God! 3 minutes into it and I couldn't bring myself to finish. The guy on the right is so annoying, keeps interrupting.
He has a crap attitude.
That's not very nice
Next time write a better review and be kind please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NICE GUY YES OR NO
Something tragic happened at 8.55 LOL! Sad. Too bad the woodworker was basically nagged.
It's a mess. Need good practice guys.
Talk talk talk, good god shut up and show us.
