The Nikon lens has a great bokeh and somewhat 3d pop, the Canon not so much. But in general, i prefer the sharpness, good image stabilizer and silent, fast autofocus of the Canon lens. Not as if i had another option as Canon APS-C (EOS R7) user.
I have no idea if it's because of the contrast difference, but the lens on the right render the image much more "3d" and with depth. Especially on the shot on your face, you can literally "see" the extra dimensions in the picture.
Please dont say things like that I will end-up keeping them all haha God knows what youtube compression done to it, on my proper calibrated monitor difference was minimal. But like I said in my review - Nikon is optically better lens.
@@CINENIMUS If that helps I'm also on a properly calibrated monitor with Spyder too (LG 38 Ultrawide. 100% SRGB), but with the lens on the right, the combination of distortion, contrast, and color rendition gives them a very "3D" look, but of course that's subjective. Let us know which one you'll keep in the end :D
@@StringerBell if you read my review - I think I will stay with canon. Just more practical as a Zoom lens. And if I can be faster when traveling and have a lot lighter backpack - this can make huge difference. Sometimes I would miss out on shots just because I dragged the heavy bag for so many hours… Soon a video coming from the expedition in Jordan, trip was EPIC 🔥
Nice comparison video. Is it me or the Nikon Lens produce images with more characters? I think l also like the flares more on the Nikon. You cannot go wrong with either lens. The cheapest one could be the one to buy...The other important question for me will is which lens is easier to use in manual mode?
From your examples, the Nikon seems to have better micro contrast and sharpness. Although the Canon seems to have superior bokeh (less onion ringing) and image stabilization. From your other videos it seems like you kept the Nikon, which adapter would you recommend to convert it to ef mount?

it helped thanks The advantage of Nikon is that the barrel is short and focus gear ring position useful
I ended up keeping Nikon for those exact reasons 😎

Yes Nikon is optically better and way better built too and also the manual focusing for me is much nicer. I ended up selling Canon haha
Nice comparison. How did you adapt the nikon to ef mount??? Which adapter did you use
Simple Nikon G to Canon EF adapter they dirt cheap 👌
