Honestly I like how Daryl is trying to open himself up again after what happened to Beth now that he’s allowed himself to feel the emotion and let it out he can try and find some sort of peace.
I have always thought that making Daryl bond with Aaron before anyone else in Alexandria was such a genius choice. Daryl has always been a bit of an outcast, so having him bond with the couple who are also a little on the outside of their society was perfect.
I also found it telling that Aaron wanted Daryl to help him recruit because Daryl could tell a good person from a bad person But Aaron didn’t recognize that he himself had that ability because he saw past Daryl’s appearance and gruff demeanour and saw the good man that he is And it provides validation for Daryl that he belongs there and can have a place in this community.
I don't know if anyone's made this connection, but Rick kissing Jessie - in spite of knowing she's married - is similar to Shane. I've always heard the comparison of Rick becoming Shane in terms of his viciousness/savegery in protecting his people, but the fact that he's willing to unapologetically - with all the no fucks given confidence and swagger he currently has - "rizz up" a married woman shows another way he's becoming like Shane... 😅
Um not really similar shane was ricks literal best friend , he doesnt even know jessie’s husband to care in the first place lol its not ricks job to control another mans woman.
Comic Comparisons : The party goes down exactly the way it does on the show except it’s not Sasha who blows up because she doesn’t exist in the comics rather it’s Michonne.
I understand why Rick would feel this way the last community he went to ate Bob’s leg I think that skepticism is hard for him to let go He is going to put his family above anyone and do anything to keep them safe It’s almost like he’s trying to start something so his group can take over.
