Its not soobin it's soubin
The confusion is because of the way the Indian names are spelled in English. It doesn't necessarily follow the language rules most often. Look at tge difference between the words 'South' and 'Bowling'. Both have the first part similar to the actor's name. But the presence of a vowel 'i' that follows the next character 'l' in 'Bowling' gives it a different spelling with 'w' instead of 'u'. If the actor's name was spelled as 'Sowbin', they might have gotten it right.

I was so frustrated. The city I live in (Minneapolis) only had one showing - Friday (Today) at 3pm in the afternoon. The middle of the work day. I don't know who plans distribution here but it can be hard for us to get Malayalam films.
Search for 'Kerala restaurants', Im sure you will find something in LA. There is no place on planet earth without a Malayali chaaya kada(tea shop)
Yup Mayura is the one my sister & BIL visits EVERY time they drive to LA and they buy a bunch load of food and drive back to Santa Barbara.. I've tried their food too.. it's authentic

English is not a phonetic language, that the root cause of all pronunciation problem. Unlike English, Malayalam is a phonetic language, you read what you write, you can't pronounce wrong written in Malayalam except for Explosive alphabets like P, T, K, B, D, G.

The best food in Kerala is Mammoth curry😊. The first time I read I was surprised too. Apparently there are still Mammoths in South. Which is why I see guys commenting "React to Mammoth movies"🤔, some even call Mammoths great actors😅

Speaking of Mispronouncing names....I have been saying Prabhudeva as one word. Korbin and Rick often call him Prabhu. I want to be correct too. Is he Prabhudeva (mononymous) or Prabhu (first name) Deva (surname)? For at least 15 years I thought it was most proper to call him Prabhudeva. I am non Indian so want to be correct.
