Nah, I personally think it’s where he went to Brazil. To me, all this time he still looked like he was reliant. Needing a quick set or where the setter has to set the ball to which stops so he can hit it. Yes, in this arc he trained to receive but he still wasn’t good enough to receive in nationals so it was pretty much not helping as much. But the observations did. Whereas in the Brazil ark he learned not to be reliant and fight by himself. He was also amazing at everything now and was able to stand up for himself not behind another. That’s my opinion tho and I fully respect yours.
Little story~ That "I am a ballboy level one" phylosophy have turned my life to the better. Idk how to be healthier, I observed, do it consistently, and now I loose 20kg. Idk how to manage my mental stress, I learned, day by day, and now I'm glad I'm doing better. Just observe and humble yourself like a ballboy mentality even got me to win a badminton match, which I totally suck before. It turns out my grip was all wrong, I learned basic badminton steps, I learn to tie my shoes so it won't untie between matches. Who would've thought those little things, every day, got me so far
@@StorySentral05 I think the Brazil arc is my favorite final arc because it shows how Hinata got to national level. But I do think that Ballboy arc is more rewarding soul crushing. Hinata is told that he's nothing like Kageyama and while hurt, he focus on improving. Being humble enough to ask help from people he already defeated. Rather than learning offense, he now had to learn defense.
I love how unexpected Hinata's save is. I'm sure at least 90% of viewers had totally forgotten about this whole "let's take it easy"-thing. And then, when we arrived at this scene, it struck us, just like his team mates. The moment I realized what he just did, I snapped out of the scene and was totally in awe. I felt similar to how Suga felt. I was so reliefed and happy, but most importantly, I was proud. Very proud. And knowing what happens in the manga later on, man. I can't possibly wait for every body to finally see our boy in action.
I loved that the manga/anime showed Hyakuzawa watching the game. It's adds that little extra point that Hinata didn't just learn this lesson for himself.
Hyakuzawa having the realization that volleyball is hella complex (like all other sports) and not just about simple height dominating above all else is one of the best mini stories within Haikyuu hands down. And the fact that he's taught this by one of the smallest players is all the more brilliant.
@@AllTheArtsy SPOILER I love that we see Hyakuzawa on the Olympic team in the last chapter. After thinking volleyball was "simple" and then seeing how defeated he was at the first year camp, to know he found a true passion for the game and made it to the highest level is awesome.
As a "retired" volleyball player who is now close to 50 years old, I remembered that the very first time I watched this scene in this episode, my eyes welled up with tears. I think it was the single most important scene in the whole series. The beauty of it is that it was so simple and yet so very important.
It's interesting how Washijo didn't even let Hinata play once in the training camp, even though one of the coaches notes how he was the most fired up. But then I realized that it didn't really matter that much, as Washijo points out that the people who are lacking in size always have a hunger to improve. Hinata would always want to improve, regardless of whether he could play or not, and I think that helped him realize his lesson.
@@AceOfScrubs Washijo saw himself in Hinata, he naturally felt Hinata trying so hard is simply waste of time. However, Washijo realizes Hinata's determination later on.
Still to this day when I watch this episode I let out breath of relief. Hinata has grown so much throughout that season and that one moment tells us how much his view of volleyball has changed.
Especially when we cut to sugawara and he remembers Hinata’s mindset of volleyball change from “I love spiking” to “I want to be on the court” now to this.
Hinata receiving the ball was his shining moment and the most beautiful scene in season 4. It's just BEAUTIFUL to see how Hinata improved just from observing? Also, he was in the middle of a match and he was observing everything? It's almost like he's unaffected by his teammates during that time, like he's out of their frequency of panic and in a neutral mode observing everything. While it was only for that moment that we see Hinata's moment since he's still growing to be a better player.. I literally teared up. It's just... B R E A T H T A K I N G. I love Haikyuu. It's the only sports anime that has truly taken hold of my soul and heart.
That "take it easy" moment in the Inarizaki match still just make me so emotional, even the clip here had the same effect. This single moment represents so much character journey in Hinata & is done so well that the chills are always there. Also, another great video, just love these.
I wish I could like this video more than once. I'm actually all emotional watching it. Hinata's "take it easy" moment in the Inarizaki match, and the scene leading up to it, is easily one of my favorite moments in Haikyuu. I especially love how it gets all dark around the edges, and the intense music, then how it goes all bright again with Hinata's receive. People always refer to Hinata as "sunshine", and here he was really the light breaking through the darkness.
Your definitely the most underrated RUclips I’ve ever watched. Your voice and narration are absolutely incredible thanks for making these great videos!!!
Relaxation is one of the hardest lessons to learn in volleyball. As a team sport you want to make the most of the small amount of time you get to touch the ball and as everybody in the team becomes more tense mistakes are inevitable. As I played at higher and higher levels I saw the best players were always the ones that seemed like there wasn’t a tight muscle in their body. It took me a long time to master this, for hinata it was quickness for me it was power and jumping, learning to resist leaning into my strengths and maintain a balanced game made me a vastly better player.
Haikyuu is filled with these small moments. Oikawa tried to set it a little away from the net against date. But iwaizumi asks him to set normally and breaks through the iron wall. He stepped up as the ace. Or kinoshita telling nishinoya to move up against inarizaki. Finally ennoshita struggles against wakutani minami both mental and physical
I've just been feeling stressed recently. It feels like there's so much I need to do, so much I need to be. The pressure and the need to fulfill the expectations of your loved ones. I've been trying to do this and that faster, study faster, do assignments faster, I'm so tired of forcing myself to be better and faster, so tired but I don't know what to do about it- until I decided to take a break and watch this video. It felt like a weight was pulled off of my shoulders. Take it easy. Such a simple sentence and yet it's so impactful at the same time. I think I get it now. Take it easy. I don't need to rush, there's no point in rushing. I just need to take it easy.
That’s hitting me hard bro. That pause you made saying "except" and then the sound from the anime was something else. The whole script was very good and your narration again.. Aaah. Thank you for sharing your passion.
When Hinata did that receive that allowed everyone to take a step back and relax a little was honestly the best moment in season 4, watching him in the first few season you can clearly tell that he is an energetic person and just wants to always jump and spike, but then you see him grow as a person and you watch that scene thinking, "Hinata, of all people, is taking it easy and allowing/helping his teammates take a breath in the match" I was never more proud of him I love him so much eekk-
I had been obsessed with cricket since I was a little kid. I've always wanted to bowl fast just like my heroes that I saw on TV however I sucked at the game. Not getting into the middle school team and not having anyone really to teach me anything about bowling fast really pissed me off. But I was so passionate about it that I'd bowl to a wall for hours each day and I did that for over a year until I got some pace. Everyone acknowledged my skills now and I even became the vice-captain of my highschool team. All was going perfect till I realized that my bowling action was wrong footed meaning I'd step twice with my right foot before delivering, this set a limit to my speed and cuz I had practiced the action to the extreme I just couldn't make it right. That was a big life experience and thank God I had that before playing volleyball. Now I had realized the importance of basics and I try to master my volleyball basics to perfection(especially the steps to jumping) and it's going great so far, I'm an all around player in volleyball now and can play literally any position : )
This is the best thing I love about hikyuu it shows us how to get better in volleyball and it shows that it's not a one man team u need to improve and help your team improve. I kid u not I started crying just by watching it
Hinata coming in like a ray of sunshine with that high first pass might just be my absolute favourite moment of the entire show. Makes me tear up every time
Great video!!! ^^ I absolutely agree that Washijo Sensei knew that Hinata lacked the fundamentals and agreed only if he stays as a ball boy when he crashed that camp. Hinata was able to observe other players, think and learn which was what led him to observe and realize Kunimi's plays to keep the ball high for his team to have time to keep the ball in play. Not only did Hinata learnt to observe, react, receive, he learnt to Let's take it easy. I remember my first time watching Haikyuu Karasuno vs Inarizaki match made me the audience hold my breath as that play scene accelerated. I remember this lesson while me and my dad were playing volleyball. I had to do a spikes and the timing really got to me. Then my dad told me one thing I will never forget, "It is okay" and "keep practicing". Those two phrases go a long way.
Amazing video and honestly I love how you really dig deep into the smallest details in Haikyuu that just everyone I watch makes the story, messages, and themes that much more solid and grounded. Keep it up bro I'll be here all the way
been waiting for another haikyuu video essay, you always make such good videos on them! the "take it easy" mindset is something i've been heavily utilizing since rewatching haikyuu, so it's great to see that it's the topic of this video :)
I've seen that scene so many times but this is the second time I cried about it. The first time when I saw the anime. The way you accompanied that beautiful line "let's take it easy", and the way you explained Hinata's journey. I dunno, it just really rings so deep. Thank you.
I was watching this episode today. It is my favourite episode of the first 4 seasons, and arguably it doesn't even show our main protagonist as the hero of the story. It's an amazingly well crafted episode showing how he learns by observing and how I've learned a lot of my physical martial arts skills: by having to put into words a physical movement to teach it to someone else. I love it. One of the best things is how it leads to my favourite scene of the first 4 seasons: OOOHRAI! It also has by far the funniest scene of all 4 seasons, where he gets hit in the nether regions. 😂
No character makes me cry with happiness as much as Hinata. Still. Haikyuu is a life-long string of lessons and reminders of how to live. Thanks for reminding me again, I needed it today :)
amazing video!! this is my favorite scene of haikyu of all time, so i was excited to watch, and you delivered!!! that scene is so beautiful for so many reasons. the detail of the screen getting darker as their field of vision decreases is so amazing. i love how when hinata makes the receive it brightens back up because he is quite literally the 'sun'. again, amazing video!! thank you!!
Finally got round to watching this video. Brilliant. I love how when we're all caught up in the excitement of all these players performing such incredible feats, character moments like these really make sure to keep our feet on the ground and remember that everyone here is human, has their limits, and have more to learn. Really makes you take a step back from it all and breathe it all in like you said. Great video bro, really great!!
Yes! When an anime can make you feel all those emotions at once and then hit you with something as powerful as that moment, you know it’s a masterpiece. Appreciate you bro :)
Every one of your videos brings tears to my eyes. Haikyuu is one of, if not my favourite show and your clear cut analysis of each crucial moment is amazing. I wish you all the best with your future videos and can't wait to see where your channel goes!
MANGA SPOILERS… I love how this moment is paralleled in the next match when kageyama reminds Hinata of this lesson when he sets him the Four. It’s so beautiful
Hinata goes from a child trying to prove his place in this world to someone who finds his genuine love in something. in this case its volleyball. I love seeing the pure obsession of just having FUN grow and become more and more of his personality. He's emotionally maturing, and its incredible to watch.
I was once asked a question of how to move forward in life.... I thought for a bit and the first answer that came to my mind ( bcs of personal experience) I immedeately answered : It is to calm down and take a step back. And watching your explanation of this side development of Hinata specifically made me realized I did learnt alot of watching this show without even realizing it!! This is how you know the show is an absolute masterpiece.
this is a lesson that suits me the most!!! As a setter , i have to make contact with each and every ball in play, which sometimes takes a toll on me in long rallies , and hence result in silly mistakes . Today that silly mistake happened that made my team lose the set. The mistake was due to the toll stacking up on me about making mistakes , basically I made a mistake - regretted - became sad - made another mistake because of being sad , and the cycle went on for a whole set. This video made me understand how important it is to relax and TAKE IT EASY!!!
There was one other benefit from regaining their breath. They were practically choking themselves, they faster they went the more out of breath they became. So in a sense Hinata resuscitated them.
Thank you so much for posting these videos. They inspire, motivate, and educate me. It helps me calm down in stressed environments. I am currently playing football/soccer in Spain and these videos help me a lot with my playing too. So thank you 🤗🤗
i’ve been watching ur vids for a little now and i just wanted to say u have the best way of telling a story. u make ur videos so captivating by the way u talk. awesome stuff man keep it up
great video dude! this focus on simplicity reminded me of washijo's catchphrase for volleyball "simple is best", and I think, whether consciously or subconsciously, he taught that lesson to hinata (as you described in the video) also as a quick thought: maybe he wanted hinata to learn the fundamentals from this becuase he probably noticed that hinata didn't even know the basics in the finals game (as noted by either the johzenji coach or shiratorizawa's assistant coach, i don't remember which one, when the training camp was over)
ok i love you solely because you love haikyuu and it's so great to see that someone finallyyyyy sundestands what this anime means to me and is unapologetically making likr 10 vidos about it. MORE POWWER TO YOU.
Bro, your videos are so fun to watch. The voice narration, the story telling, everything is so cool and at the right timing. Keep the videos coming! ❤️
That is why they are called coach because they know what players are lacking. Especially to the more experience coach Washijo is. It's a Cool thing for this coach to help Hinata to grow and improve more even if he came from other school.
This right here is one of the many reasons I have watched Haikyuu more than nine times over the years. It is one of the animes that made me a big fan of anime as a whole but also sports anime specifically.
11:30... i love how most people missed the fact that tsukki was already breathing and was not shocked about this... since he was there in the training camp...
Just finished practicing volleyball... This video inspired me, I FINALLY did something for months of just scrolling mindlessly through youtube ( ಥ‿ಥ) I thank you so much!
the thing I like in Haikyuu!! is the perfect symbolism of teams to an animal. Hinata here in latest season, does what a typical crow thing to do. we know a hawk watches, an owl focuses, and a crow observes. It learns from its past mannerisms, it corrects the steps to achieve its result....... that's what Hinata does in the last set. Its beautiful........

I love how this moment is paralleled in the next match when kageyama reminds Hinata of this lesson when he sets him the Four. It’s so beautiful
Hinata goes from a child trying to prove his place in this world to someone who finds his genuine love in something. in this case its volleyball. I love seeing the pure obsession of just having FUN grow and become more and more of his personality. He's emotionally maturing, and its incredible to watch.
Great video!! So many people hate on the ball boy arc, but I love it!! There's so many great lessons to learn from it.
yep this is exactly why i loveee haikyuu, and obv your video is amazing as always heh
Been wanting to do my first video essay on this! Great stuff man!!!
"We're so conZOOMED" lol that is hilarious line reading
Wooooh. Goosebumps!! Happy that I've watch your review. Keep it up.
Really fantastic video. Glad you pointed out the 2 on 2 scene
jeez i just watched this again and i really love the philosophy and meaning behind this video :3
Amazing video bro. From the script to the narration to every pause. Keep up the good work.
This scene was something else, I had chills watching this.
You really have a way with words, editing, pacing, seriously so talented! These videos are so good man. Keep it up!
Thanks so much :)
So thank you 🤗🤗
i’ve been watching ur vids for a little now and i just wanted to say u have the best way of telling a story. u make ur videos so captivating by the way u talk. awesome stuff man keep it up
I am crying! This is a really good narration! 😢🧡
Beautiful video essay. 1st video and I suscribed
great video dude! this focus on simplicity reminded me of washijo's catchphrase for volleyball "simple is best", and I think, whether consciously or subconsciously, he taught that lesson to hinata (as you described in the video)
also as a quick thought: maybe he wanted hinata to learn the fundamentals from this becuase he probably noticed that hinata didn't even know the basics in the finals game (as noted by either the johzenji coach or shiratorizawa's assistant coach, i don't remember which one, when the training camp was over)
ok i love you solely because you love haikyuu and it's so great to see that someone finallyyyyy sundestands what this anime means to me and is unapologetically making likr 10 vidos about it. MORE POWWER TO YOU.
Another goat upload
been waiting for this
Bro, your videos are so fun to watch. The voice narration, the story telling, everything is so cool and at the right timing. Keep the videos coming! ❤️
Your voice and narration is soo great thnx for making these awesome videos
That is why they are called coach because they know what players are lacking. Especially to the more experience coach Washijo is. It's a Cool thing for this coach to help Hinata to grow and improve more even if he came from other school.
This right here is one of the many reasons I have watched Haikyuu more than nine times over the years. It is one of the animes that made me a big fan of anime as a whole but also sports anime specifically.
Every time I watch your haikyuu videos it inspire me to do better!!! Amazing!!!

Glad I could be of help :)
wake up babe harsh reviews posted a haikyuu video
11:30... i love how most people missed the fact that tsukki was already breathing and was not shocked about this... since he was there in the training camp...
Such a treat to watch these uplifting analyses that i can use to look in to my own life. You have a real knack for this stuff, keep it up :)
I haven't watched a Harsh Reviews video in a couple months, I missed hearing this man's voice.
Appreciate you homie
Just finished practicing volleyball... This video inspired me, I FINALLY did something for months of just scrolling mindlessly through youtube ( ಥ‿ಥ) I thank you so much!
Wow the thumbnail looks amazing
Your way of story telling is so damn good 🔥
enough to make a grown man cry every time
the thing I like in Haikyuu!! is the perfect symbolism of teams to an animal. Hinata here in latest season, does what a typical crow thing to do. we know a hawk watches, an owl focuses, and a crow observes. It learns from its past mannerisms, it corrects the steps to achieve its result....... that's what Hinata does in the last set. Its beautiful........
