Lakewood 600 DX Series Desk Fan | Initial Checkout

The initial checkout of a Lakewood 6" 2-speed desk/personal fan model 600. It doesn't specifically notate as model 60DX, but this is definitely part of the DX series. The 12" and 16" DX fans are pretty bad so I didn't have high expectations for this one, but surprisingly it turned out to be satisfactory.

I have one of these bought it a garage sale many years ago for 10 bucks not working power cord was bad. After a full rewire and a good cleaning and maintenance work it still lives on my desk in 2024. Bought mine back in 2004 i was 14 at the time. along with a Lakewood P-23 box fan which i also still have and use everyday. it gets hot in Florida lol. i bought my lakewoods back when i lived in Michigan.

Nice fan to add to your collection Jordan. Granted it may seem small but this one seems to be somewhat decent. You’re not alone when it comes to the heat this year. It’s been hot and humid a lot this year so far with very few days wit decent temps. Makes good use of the Air conditioners though but only does raise the energy bill. Hope to see another running video of the air conditioners here soon but a nice fan video for now is good to see.

Even though these lakewoods become brittle and were made poorly. I really like the unique look of these. Still looks more interesting then today's crap.

I kind of like how those fans look but it's mainly the looks I like about them their performances less than satisfactory and also build quality is not good especially if they sit in the Sun for a while then that fans basically toast but I'm currently on the hunt for the 12-inch version of that Lakewood with the blue blades the acrylic see-through ones there used to be a store when I was a little kid it closed down but I seen one of those there and I've always wanted one ever since I like their looks but their performance is a little bit better than a modern desk fan

the 600a and 600dx mean absolutely nothing just a color change. Piece of junk fans.
