One thing I forgot to add about the elevation. As long as you are adjacent to an enemy, it doesn’t matter how elevated they or you are. You can attack them as if they are adjacent. It makes my feelings about the board even more frustrating, A beautiful looking game that I really wanted to love. I don’t hate it but it could’ve been better.
This game is for fans and casual players. Trust me man, I got games that need more thinking but my friends are only willing to try it once and then go back to either Horrified or Mario gamer monopoly. This game will make them want to play.
Overall, I did have fun with the game. I was a fan of Gargoyles growing up and after seeing the art of the cards during my unboxing, my expectations were high. There were just some things about the game that just felt too simplistic. It felt like a missed opportunity. You are right, there are times that games like this exist to just have fun and enjoy. It may not be for me but I can absolutely see how it can bring enjoyment to many.
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight trust me dude, I feel you with some games being to simplistic but if it gets more people to play then that's great. Heck it might make those people to explore more strategic or more complex games and honestly that's the best case scenario.
