We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet - but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. So feel free to tag along if you’re interested in following our journey and adventures around the globe ❤️

@@dawidgruchala594 Mine to. I have two myself. They are my life. If we could start some animals rescue service. That would also give me some. Many bad people take in animals. And we need to be there for them. Im retired at 38 and can be big part of such. Could have been made a international rescue service. I know where to reach out. Would that make ur day or what:-)

My son has a Cat named Meow. And a Dog (Who has passed since) They drove from Peterburg VA to Brooklyn for a BMX thing. Then left Coney Island and drove thru to San FRancisco, where my Brother lives. Then 2 Years in Mendocisno, (farming) Down to San Diego for a couple years. BAck to Sacramento. Then cross country in the Prius with D-O-G(Deohgee) and Meow.Finally stopping in Petersburg again. Wasnt on a bike, a Prius. Well traveled critters.

I loved being able to peek inside the basket when she was under shelter from the sun. She is such a special little girl and so lucky to have found Dean!

Nala has her daddy's traits - courage, resilience, appreciation, spirit of adventure, flexibility, energy, determination, and best of all, a total cuddlebug. I don't know another cat like her 😻

I've had cats my whole life & none of them ever acted like this - they howl in the car all the way to the vets!😅 I am amazed at how obedient she is, like when he told her don't go near the barbed wire & he called her to follow she did. I feel like all my cats would have definitely gone in there just to despise me & then made me crawl thru that stuff just to get them out!🤨😼😹❤😁

I have the impression that every encounter with animals is a test for us.
So entertaining, Dean. Your camerawork, editing and music choices all come together so well. Sometimes it's hard to believe you're a one man/one cat set up, especially the extreme long shots when you were cycling in to Vienna. That was a drone, presumably, but the production values throughout, and your presentation are splendid.

I prefer when youre sleeping safely in a clean room somewhere...i am mortified when youre sleeping outside or in abandoned places.
Well, thats like the last stop when he was way out on the end of road & thought he would be safe. Only to wake up to some little knife wealding punk!🙄 It makes me nervous for him too! I thought for an active job/construction site a night guard might come around & surprise him!😰 I much prefer when he stays somewhere safe, but I am glad to hear he is going to be getting a new tent!🎉🏕

Ditto...the world is so dangerous and Dean is completely vulnerable in the open. I'm always relieved when he opts for indoor accommodations. He could shed a fair amount of weight off the bike if he'd just go full-on hostels/hotels/friendly folk.

These cycling fellows have really got my attention these Covid days here in Ontario. I am a dog person. I have had one cat, The Ouisha, from 1975 thru 1995. I met him in Paris. He was a cellar cat, une chat des caves, who got lost as a half blind kitten. We came home to Canada together. I introduced him to my Kawartha Lakes. He was happy happy. We wound up on Vancouver Island for 6 years. He used to bring me presents... small things he had hunted down and killed out in the fields and brought home all lined up on the floor at the foot of my bed... saying thank you. He was big to begine with and became a xxx but always muscular and fast. Loved him... a bit like a dog but he didn't seem to mind.
It sounds like The Ouisha wanted to make sure you had variety in your diet! He probably would have happily taught you how to hunt, too. 😺 Maybe another like him will come along and help you understand even more about life! 😊😁

I like the close ups of nala, she looks so comfortable in that basket, she's got beautiful green eyes ,and she looks like she's grown a lot, she's definitely seen more of the world than any cat I've heard of, she's a lucky cat to have found Dean, she 's bonded
I've never watched so much tv in my life (RUclips)! My students are staying away because of this lockdown in California and one can only take so much of the political fighting and riots in cities. So watching sweet Nala travel with you is a godsend. She has extraordinarily beautiful eyes. And those eyes are taking in way more than most human eyes ever do.
My great-grandfather came to America from Edinburgh. He was born in 1845 and died in 1941 two weeks after I was born. He loved horses and he played cello.
