So many videos and people I love to watch for skincare, makeup, etc I have noticed now are getting a lot of Botox (A Lot), Fillers, etc. Not against it, but when it's noticed; I'm not inclined to believe the advice any longer. In my late 50's, aging has happened rapidly Menpause/Postmenopause. Thanks for sharing yourself with us.. : ) Whether you do or have gotten anything done I don't know, but you do not look like it. Hi there, welcome to my channel. I'm happy to have you here. Funny you. mentioned that. I was chatting with a lady today and she told me when she got in her late 50's, it was like she woke up one day and her skin changed overnight. We talked for an hour about peri and menopause. I don't think I will now ever complain about days when my skin feels oily LOL 🤪I'm not looking forward to having dry skin. 😩
      I know what ya mean about everyone having injections. I do have botox in my forehead. I get it for migraines at my Neurologist's office all over the back of my head and neck but he puts 3 of the injections in my forehead. So that does prevent me from having 11's. It makes my eyebrows look wonky sometimes though LOL. But I've never had botox anywhere else on my face. I'm too chicken to have fillers. I don't really like the way it looks and I feel like it starts to look lumpy the more someone has to keep filling the skin. I hopefully want to try my best to age gracefully. I mean, nothing wrong if someone chooses to have work done if that's what makes them happy. But I also kinda like the challenge and fun of trying products to see what works and what doesn't. And I notice my diet makes a difference as well. I hope you enjoy the rest of my channel. And I hope you have a great rest of your week. Nice to meet you🤗

    You look amazing🙌. I never thought that the right skincare, can actually help and improve even sensitive skin. I always had perfect skin, no blemishes, break outs, and as long as i used the right moisturizer, my skin would not even be so sensitive. So slowly 3 years ago, started with some light actives, from Biologique recherche , and that put me to the next step. I have been able to start using Curology retina complex, and to my surprise, i was able to jump, from the lowest 0.01-0.035, within a few months. Its a year now and i am able to use every night. Slowly i introduced Ferulic Vit C. Oh i was some crazy flare ups. But since , a few months ago, i added AHA’s alternating nights with retina, my skin became even more robust, and finally i am able to use Vit C at least 4 times a week. Ah i wish i started like at least 10 years ago😂. But even now, i dont think its never too late. My skin becoming more bouncy, even out, got rid of redness around the nose, and on top of the cheeks. Of course its harder to reverse things than prevent. So i am going to get some natural treatments, like PRF, some laser, to get back that roundness of the face, and under eyes. But i know that the skincare regiment that i am on, will help me to keep those new results😜 going to check out your products , maybe i need to add something. Like i said, it can never be too much glow😜 Have a blessed day🙏❤️

      You could lightly buff a loose powder over top to set it but perhaps it's humid where you live? Maybe that's why? If it's too humid out and my skin is feeling too oily, I use a matte SPF/primer (Panoxyl howl.me/ckRT5kJT2ye ) over top in my Tzone. So I apply the DRMTLGY 1st, let it dry down for maybe 15 minutes then before I do my makeup I use my matte SPF/primer. I also never use a moisturizer before I use my DRMTLGY SPF as it doubles as a moisturizer & SPF. Hope that helps. 💜

    This is so helpful! I've been horrified lately comparing pictures of my face from just a few years ago to now (at almost 62). I use Dermatology sunscreen daily but really need to up my game, so to speak. I have bought SO many serums and products over the years but never see much improvement.
    Do you do any private consults? Or can you recommend something for the awful turkey neck and upper lip lines?
    Thank you so much!❣️

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  Год назад +3

      Hi there, Awe don't be horrified. Perhaps you just need to tweak a few simple things. I don't do consults. I'm not an expert. I just have fun with skincare as a hobby and I know what's worked well for myself. I typically am in the comments section of one of my videos usually the 1st day of a new video going up, so if you ever have a question for me, that is always the best way to reach me (on day 1 typically). But just off the top of my head, 1st thought is perhaps you aren't reapplying your sunscreen enough and that could be a big reason why all your serums aren't working the way they should. Remember applying SPF just once during the day won't cut it if we are going outside or walking from the house to the car or just walking the dog for 5 minutes etc. A couple years ago, I legit walked outside for just a few minutes without reapplying SPF and didn't have a sunhat on. My hyperpigmentation darkened up again and reversed ALL the hard work of lightening it. SO I had to start over AGAIN 🤦🏻‍♀️ That's how sneaky the sun and UV rays are. (breaks down collagen, causes inflammation, dehydration, wrinkles. ugh!) SO we can spend thousands on serums and creams BUT if we don't use SPF and use the right amount and re-apply every few hours, then unfortunately the serums won't work the right way. I bet if you really focus on the SPF reapplication, you will be amazed at what your skin will start to look like. And I'm sure you still look beautiful! We are just our own worst critics. 💜

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  Год назад

      I still love the Truth Treatments 5% retinol serum but it's not a daily use Vitamin A serum. It's more of a 2 night a week treatment. Medik8 is a nightly product. Medik8 is also retinal (Retinaldehyde) and Truth Treatments is retinol and I do prefer Retinaldehyde over retinol especially because it works faster. With that being said, the 5% TT retinol serum is a super high strength and I've loved it ever since it ever since it came out. But I ran out maybe 6 months ago and finally bought it again last month but I'm not getting the same results as I used to. It sat in the mailman's truck all day in over 100 degree weather so I'm wondering if the intense heat ruined it???? But anywho if I absolutely had to choose just one over the other, I'd pick Medik 8 Crystal Retinal 20 since it's the highest strength retinal on the market and it can be used every night vs just a couple nights a week. 🩷

    Please can you review the lash serum by Dermelect soon? So I can then place my order for that and the moisturizing serum lol

      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  Год назад

      Yes I will very soon. I'm hoping to get it done in a couple weeks but I'm really loving it. It does take a good month or 2 before I saw results and at 1st I was like meh this probably won't do much but then all of a sudden my lashes just started getting long and fluffy and super soft and healthy. I just bought 2 more tubes so I don't run out. 💜

    Do you like the new dermelect moisturizing serum better than the avene one you spoke of in your shaving video?

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  Год назад

      I'm undecided still. I LOVE the Dermelect serum the best when I combine it with the Dermelect Beauty Sleep Serum. I can't get over the glow I get and I love how my skin feels. BUT on nights I shave, I LOVE the AVENE Hyaluron. I've been reaching for the Avene Hyaluron at night when I need extra hydration (before moisturizer) and Dermelect Barrier Repair during the day. I just bought more of both serums so I equally love both of them for different reasons. I suppose it depends on what you look for in a hydrating serum that may make the decision easier. 💜

      Hi there! No face yoga, no microcurrent, no derma rolling, no devices really other than lymph massage by hand and sometimes a gua sha or skin roller like Osmosis Epic Skin Tool but usually just my hands for massage. I used to use a NuFace about 5 years ago but it broke after only maybe 6 months and the manufacture took way too long to fix it so I got lazy and didn't feel like starting again when they finally sent me a new one. Your dress style is a huge key to look younger. If you dress like a 50 year old woman (including hair style and makeup) , you look 50. No cosmetics will change that.
    6:00 You look much younger when you’re natural. You still need a good short and dynamic haircut, blue jeans and a tank top with a nice open shirt, and you’ll be there. 😉

      I typically just bring my Retinal up near my eyes & use my moisturizer as my eye cream but right now I'm testing a new eye cream. And I have been LOVING this eye combo (eye serum and eye oil) in this video I recently shared ruclips.net/video/FY1ej-8HgOg/видео.html 🤗

    Of course I got the Dermelect sleep serum after the first time you talked about it. Using it in the day is interesting!! So you never use my beloved TNS Essential Serum anymore? I just can’t let go of it:(

      Makeup looks so good during the day when I use my Sleep Serum (of course I wouldn't have beach day or do gardening on those days LOL) Yes I still use TNS when I get it on really good sales. But I only wanted to share the top 5 products & make it a routine that anyone could do. Plus I know I would get hate comments haha if I shared TNS since it's crazy expensive. Now if I were sharing top 6 then TNS would be next on the list for sure, but it's not something people "need" to have their skin transform in the way I feel a Vitamin A serum can transform the skin. But yes TNS is amazing! 💜

      @@GracefulBeautyWithSheri I put it on after an essence??? I always do TNS then Skinceuticals Vitamin c but my derm said I don’t need the Vit C because TNS has it in it.
