holy shite! awesome job dude. i watched the original around when i was 4 years old or so. its really inspired a lot of my tastes and interests growing up. i never expected to see anything like this.
There was a time where I'd have been down for that... Maybe once Hollywood's track record improves a bit 😂 I've simply aimed to remaster and streamline the brilliant story that's already there. Every memorable moment is in this 20 episode cut and hopefully hits even harder with the errors in the English dub corrected. Maybe there's a chance this modernized take might bring in a younger fan so Blade's legend can live on!

I watched that episode in Spanish, English and Japanese ... I never could understand the hidden mistery about the date written in the behind of the picture. Now, because in other reply of you to me you indicated you have a director's cut ... what is the mistery of the girl? ... I always I had the impression the girl is more 100 yrs old

This is a remake and consolidates the story into 20 episodes. Call me biased but this is what the series should have been and will hopefully live up to those rose tinted glasses we all have :) A tonne of work went into the story boarding and direction. I promise you won't find a single scene you remember missing and if anything the emotional moments are enhanced by footage from the Japanese version.
The resolution rocks but the framerate is kinda nauseating because the movement is jiggly and inconsistent. Can we get it at the original framerate please?

It's essentially the entire show but consolidated and plot holes fixed, I promise, there's not a single element or scene you remember that's not there.

I did play the SNES version many years after the series aired..... yes.... It's pretty rough 😂 Some games make fans of the film media. I don't think this game even pleased hardcore fans.
@@TeknomanReforged It's lame as hell, you go from a crappy side scrolling shooter to a crappy Street Fighter game, and throughout both you still only have two crappy attacks. I only installed it on my SNES mini for the nostalgia factor.
I manually fixed the lip movements in the actual version and I get progressively better at it. In 2025 I'll be doing a re-release with better direction and dialogue on the first episodes to match the final quality (also, I'd fine tuned the visuals by episode 5).
Appreciate the feedback. I found not using it during action scenes makes movement somewhat choppy and found it to be a necessary evil. I'm happy to hear other approaches? I have a Discord too to discuss more.
In all seriousness, what recommendations do you have? I believe I worked out the best results by Episode 5 and will re-release a more tightly directed version with the best AI for the time. Eager to hear your expertise.
@@TeknomanReforged My expertise says that the original framerate is absolutely fine. It's not smooth but it is natural. Each and every interpolation attempt results in a funky and unnatural moving image. There is a reason you never see this in professional releases. My only recommendation simply is: do not interpolate at all. Leave it be. Good job otherwise.

High resolution looks great, animation is the worst medium for frame interpolation, although in general it's bad.
Episode 5 onward I nailed the balance of frame interpolation and it runs far smoother. Thanks for watching!

Reforged is a 20 Episode remake of the entire series. Story streamlined, errors corrected and new scenes from the Japanese version inserted. Binge it!

You ruined it with that weird AI morph animation crud. Anime is a STYLE of animation that needs speed, done by fewer frames at special key points.

PLEASE dont do frame interpolation in the future. It looks ugly and smeary. I respect all your other choices but frame interpolation ruins animation.
