For me it’s an office, cat litter boxes, and exercise room!
We put in new flooring but the walls need repair and painting. So it is not the most inspiring place. However, thanks to you it’s clean now. I put my desk in front of the window to let the sun/flowers from the yard inspire me.
Use that pretty pink and green box for a birthday gift for someone
Lol, if you got rid of all the empty boxes out of the room and in a centralized location or maybe in a couple totes in the garage, I think you would find that you feel the less cluttered feeling you want and you might find it shakes up your thinking in terms of storage in other areas because you have a bigger variety of storage solutions to "shop". That would put you in a better place to find boxes you like so you can get rid of stuff you don't like.
I was going to suggest something similar! Pull out all the empties even if for a short time to see the space in a new way! Ultimately when we declutter we end up with many extra storage totes, ect.
That was some good consolidation work. Don't forget to change the 2 binders!

Finishing projects is a legitimate use of decluttering time. But donating half finished projects you don't want to finish is totally legit too. I could totally chit chat over a relaxing crafting video if you have a few smallish projects that wouldn't be hours of crocheting or something.

The soap savers work well as rag mitts too. I made my youngest 2. Chain a couple extra in the bottom corner to hang on a hook so it will dry. Lol.

I’m not crafty, but I do have a desk area in my bedroom, and a small closet shelves area with my Buisness things in it.
I spent 3-4 hrs today going thru personal papers and my Buisness papers. 4 bags of paper stuff to burn.
Much better,but not finished.

Lol, once upon a time I was good at taking a picture and putting them with the color papers for the project. Think that stopped around 20 when I had a little one. Lol.
Great progress! Baby steps. You can make smaller projects with the yarn you still like. Its definitely okay to abandon projects that you know you wont do. I cleaned out a file in my kitchen office of papers. Im not quite ruthless enough when new paper comes in...just in case sets in. Felt good to get my file current.
@@simplyfreedom171 I want to abandoned some of those projects just not ready yet. You know me, it takes several passes sometimes before I go back and actually declutter some harder things to let go of.
@@Myeverydaywifelife Yes! You will know when the time is right. Definitely don't beat yourself up about not completing or not getting rid of. It's all just a process. We change our interests or things come up where we don't get things completed. I had a stack of about eight unfinished books that I wanted to read a couple years ago, but wasn't getting them read. I finally decided to get them read...ten pages a day. I was glad I did it.

I always save the pattern with the project so I know what I was making. Maybe you can do that so you at least know what you were making haha

What are you using the kids table in the guest room for?
@@CammyHell it’s just in there because it use to be guest room / kids room with toys in there for the kids. My Son uses it as a bed side table as it his room for now. I may get rid if it eventually but not yet.

You did great. How often do you actually do the crafty stuff? I have had to make a concerted effort to actually just put the other stuff down and pick up my sewing or crotching and it keeps autocorrecting between crouching and crotching and I just want it to say crocheting. Lol.
Ya not that often these days but i'll revisit some stuff I already decluttered and pair down more by end of the summer. i still have 7 weeks left of summer aka end of August.I probably should get rid of some of those crochet projects i just didn't want to make the decision right now.

That color you are thinking you might be able to find is no longer made last I checked. I had another colorway of the same thing and these days it is brighter colors.
