Alright, I missed the tin can and wooden barrel. I don't play a lot of Cypher, as you can tell. Sorry about that. The point remains the same. Just don't put them next to a tin can, or a wooden barrel.
This is a pretty good video, it is DEFINITELY needed. Many people have the wrong idea about what they're supposed to do for their team. Many just choose the agent they like the abilities for, not understanding the way those abilities are supposed to support the team. Definitely need to remember that above all, these roles are just arbitrary labels Riot gives their characters to give you some idea what abilities they have. As more agents come out the lines between these labels get blurred. Jett is always going to be an entry fragger, but chracters like Chamber dip into duelist territory with their focus on creating pressure with their gun and their body, with the ability to escape and relocate. He's still a sentinel, he can still watch flanks, he just also does his job differently to Cypher or killjoy.
You are the first person from god knows how youtubers to say getting traded in defense is generally a bad thing, god knows how many matches I lost due to moronic duelists getting a pick then dying which left me alone to defend a four man rush
i always thought brim would be pretty meta as a controller cause like, he doesn't really need to put himself at risk to smoke and its all simultaneous.
for defence on duellists and initiators, I usually prefer the duellists to be scouts at the beginning of round, and then the initiators can save their util for site retakes or if they're there, your site players can rotate off and play retake.
I am trying to find a guide for my friends because they just started playing, and they want to find a main role. This video is very, very excellent for what I am looking for. Thank you
Thanks for info bro I picked up the game few days ago and had no idea what each role was suppose to do and I kinda gravitated playing towards brim and sage but had no idea how to play brim correctly thanks for explaining again in simple terms. Btw is there anyway I can learn the names of parts of the maps
I kinda disagree with your Bind heaven smoke. Too many times have I smoked it like you did, a Jett with an Awp ferarri peaks, Awps someone then dashes away, or Reyna dismisses after a kill. You get the point. Even though the other smoke gives them a wiggle room to squeeze out, they can't be just ferarri pre aiming, and have to slow walk out of it, giving attackers more time to react. Yeah, it gives a false sense of security your heaven is covered, but it really is quite unlikely someone will ferarri peak that and be successful with it because they have to actively readjust their aim when the smoke is blocking them, and also fear of falling down and taking heat from more positions. That's just my playstyle from a guy in plat-diamond elo in SEA, maybe people are different in NA
Don't even play or want to play Valorant but love the content even if it doesn't help me play said game it gives me a sense of advise I can apply to other games, keep it up Gregor.
Very good video, coming from a beginner. I will say that having it segmented a little better between the roles would help. Maybe some on-screen text for the role and the main idea of responsibilities for what you're going over
Hey gregg, im trying to learn how to play skye better and your video really helped me with ways to use her dog better. Appreciate your hard work, keep it up mate!
So I'm guessing Initiators (then Controllers, and last Sentinels) follow-up on the Entry Frag's entry in principal. Sentinels are usually the IGLs (In-game leaders) as what I've picked up because they usually last the longest on team due to their anchor position, and are able to coordinate efforts off the intel they receive from the rest of their team. One unique thing I've picked up is that Controllers are almost mandatory in Solo Queue Matchmaking because they can smoke off areas, and in the case of Brim- stim allies through chokepoints, while allowing for the team to better go through a disadvantageous choke into more advantageous angles due to the map being sliced up. I'm guessing in Coordinated Play, Sentinels can opt to be IGL, and theoretically on paper they can be IGLs in Random Matchmaking as well but in Random Matchmaking Initiators/Controllers might be the better choice for IGL'ing because not everybody will coordinate to the degree where they will listen to the Sentinel all the time, whereas with the Initiator you can feed your team intel and Controllers who are able to throw down smokes they can better coordinate a team through their smoke in Random as they initially attempt to throw them down. Hopefully, I got this all right.

"this is not a doggo this is not a wolf, get it right"
A minute later:
"So this doggo..."
I have recognized that the council has made a decision, but given that it is a stupid ass decision, I have elected to ignore it.
"It is not a doggo it is not a wolf, get it right. Ok so this doggo."

Except that he's doing the absolute bare minimum nothing of it is very useful at a decent Elo

Staying alive is important, yes, but when I trade myself for 3 attackers by holding Short with a Judge, I think it's worth it.

7:27 that wire is actually bad I think because of that little tin can they can use to jump over it.

Do you think thatcher should become a 1 speed as a nerf in siege
My friend who only plays duelist will only watch flank on attack and it's the most frustrating thing
