Actually, I think the part from 5:58 is that part from the movie. :)
I seem to remember an interview/documentary wherein Roger said that by the time they had finished everything with BoRhap, they had been rewinding and overdubbing on tape so much that it was practically clear.

Roger’s vocals still freak me out thinking that he’s here singing these high notes, and just rocks his voice out in “I’m in love with my car”. I MEAN HE COULD VOICE A MOUSE IN A CARTOON EASILY
@@elliebrooke3987 Yea but those are tuned. Alot of official releases of concerts by Queen have voice corrections. To hear real concerts look up the bootlegs.
This video is only 24 minutes and 9 seconds long, but Freddie, Roger and Brian reportedly recorded all vocal parts for 10 to 12 hours A DAY, and the overall recording of this song took THREE weeks. It's a miracle that all 3 didn't go insane (well, Roger almost did LMAO).
I think the extent that Roger went crazy shouldn't be measured from the movie which was full in inaccuracies, Roger went do crazy, be demanded that I'm in Love With My Car should be the B-side to Bohemian Rhapsody despite the rest of the band disagreeing. And so Rog locked himself in a cabinet until the others agree.
21:59 - people are so shocked about that but he was only human, every human make mistakes I mean, he's Freddie Mercury - actual perfection, The Goddddd! ..But you know what I mean
Magic Note Here is you rope back up, Freddy was actually singing "Anyway the wind blows" You can tell by listening closely to the background as you can hear bits of the ending piano
@@throwingup i listened to it again but it says "nothing really matters, to me" and like when he's singing the "anyway the wind blows" it cuts off, that's why i said it 😁☺
And he had eeevery siiingle part of this in his head. You hear it like this and it just doesn’t seem to add up or make any sense until you hear the end result. But every little thing he sang made sense in his own head. The trademark of a true genius.
That's the truly amazing part for me. We think of Einstein or Newton and are in awe with their ability to visualize abstract concepts. Truly this is no different. Not to only visualize it, but then to be able to deconstruct it part by part and then put it back together. That is amazing. That is genius.
Music is written, he probably wrote this with a Piano. All the harmonies. Yes he is a genius but I don't think is confirmed he only had it in his head. They all probably had parts written on paper. Sheets you know.
@@carlosdominguez9360 before it was written on paper it had to come from somewhere 🤷🏿♀️ I don't think anyone meant he never wrote down his idea, but that he had the idea in the first place.
Carlos Dominguez ... In one of the many interviews Queen did Freddie and Brian speaks on this song and Freddie said this was actually three songs merged into one.
listening to around 21:00 when Freddie´s voice starts to crack and get rough makes me think - Sometimes recording music must be really tough work... Can you imagine recording those rock vocals again and again ("oh that wasn´t that good, can you go back over again but sing it THIS way?" "I wasn´t feeling it that time, sing it again but really go for it... okay take 30!" X( no wonder his nodes played up!
Willcchi Will Exactly, especially recording in 1975. It takes a lot, as a vocalist myself, I can definitely confirm that multiple takes are required. And your voice definitely gets that way after a while.
@@Superball01 Yes, and just to add, great singing is more than just having good technique - you want to successfully channel the emotion of the song as well, and sometimes to do that you have no choice than to push yourself above your usual limits. This is where Freddie showed us that he is one of the best ever IMO.
Zachary Wilson BUT this entire track recoding *is* Freddie! His voice was recorded separate from the others. So the high falsetto heard in this recording is ALL Freddie Mercury! Someone needs to upload other voices from this song so that you can hear the difference. BTW...I realized the Galileo bit in the movie was for entertainment BUT it's truly abdlib. One of the documentaries on this record shows it all and how Freddie kept dubbing HIS voice over and over again. They even mention how that's all Freddie in the beginning but for the video, it shows them all (including John who readily admits he can't sing). This was done so that when the song was done live, the others can sing backup! What I find interesting is when they did sing this song live, the whole middle section of the song with the Galileo's get switched to the studio recorded version then they come back in live with the rock section. My suspicions are because this entire section WAS Freddie and not Freddie/Roger the way it's presented in three studio video version. It's pretty hard for him to sing and switch up like that so they use the studio recorded version. Freddie developed nodules on his vocal cords because he abused his voice, started smoking, and drank alcohol regularly. By the time he sang at Wembley Stadium for the last time, you can clearly hear the damage he did on them. Take the song, "Under Pressure" for example. He had to sing his and Bowie's parts at the same time and even though you hear Roger backing him up...NEITHER of them hit that A#4 note which lead me to conclude that this was out of Roger's vocal range and if so...those Galileo's heard in the song were out of his range as well.
Just A Queen Lover :u 😂 According to YOU. This song had 180 over dubbing and the person singled-out Freddie's lyrics...so no...Rogers voice isn't included HERE you expert!
Having safe vocal technique means nothing if you cannot channel the magic of your songs to your audiences. Even the best opera singers such as Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Montserrat Caballe know this despite their genre being the most technical. That is where the likes of great singers such as Freddie and Robert Plant excel; they do not have any vocal teachers, yet they can move millions of people and send shivers down our spines (pun intended) using their voices.
Freddie left his comfort zone and his voice cracked that's something all vocalist want to do when they hear powerful singers or really high notes it take a lot of practice to sing high and not strain
Dushawn 5 You can’t blame him for his voice cracking, it took 72 hours just to record the operatic section. A lot of those 72 hours were probably spent singing. He also got nodules really early in the 70’s which made it even harder to sing. I am not sure if he had singing lessons, but he used his voice kind of carelessly. But he did have a beautiful voice anyway.
Everyones talking about Freddie's voice crack at 22:00 but I legit still thought he sounded amazing. Tbh, if no one said it was a voice crack I wouldnt really think about it as one lol.
"Bohemian Rhapsody" must be the most incredible popular song ever recorded! Its vocal harmonies are like a never-ending waffer, with so many layers, which, together, transform themselves into a choir of angels. I had never listened to this song this way, in such a "sliced" presentation. It made me conclude, certainly, that it's THE ALL TIME MASTERPIECE!
But that was our beloved Freddie, Bohemian Rhapsody was his coming out confession? and Somebody to Love was his yearning to find his true partner. I hope he found the happiness he deserved. may he still be resting in peace.. 😮🎉
these vocals are from the original 2.5 inch masters. They were leaked onto the net with a load of other Queen tracks some years ago. These were originally used to show potential buyers of out board recording gear what the new equipment could do. They were never supposed to be in the public domain. Freddie is a genius and there multi tracks are awesome. How do I know this well that's a long story.
The little imperfections in each line make me smile. I don’t know why but they just make him see human and kind of adorable. And the big voice cracks just make me laugh and smile more!!! He was so talented but he was human. I bet he laughed pretty hard at some of the bigger ones
I really loved this moment in the movie where Freddie is singing this part by himself and he goes full 70’s emo and screams NEVER BEEN BORN AT ALLLLLL i thought that was a really powerful scene

AND FAAAACE THE TRUUTH, that's my favorite part 10:46
Samee
I can just hear the drums and guitar in my head and it sounds like it’s actually playing when it’s not
10:45
21:59 - people are so shocked about that but he was only human, every human make mistakes
I mean, he's Freddie Mercury - actual perfection, The Goddddd!
..But you know what I mean
_ Just Maria _ still sounded amazing tho
I'm actually impressed
yaa bt for a god thats shocking i never look at him as a human 🤣❤️❤️
For me sounds very good that voice crack
So Freddie is pretty much Jesus, True man and True God
24:07 man that was literally the worst cliffhanger i've ever witnessed in my life
Magic Note Here is you rope back up, Freddy was actually singing "Anyway the wind blows" You can tell by listening closely to the background as you can hear bits of the ending piano
@@throwingup i listened to it again but it says "nothing really matters, to me" and like when he's singing the "anyway the wind blows" it cuts off, that's why i said it 😁☺
Magic Note *i fucking choked-*
@@gogetqz 😂😂
And he had eeevery siiingle part of this in his head. You hear it like this and it just doesn’t seem to add up or make any sense until you hear the end result.
But every little thing he sang made sense in his own head. The trademark of a true genius.
Van E. Brand 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Listening to this after watching Bohemian Rhapsody is depressing
why bro
yeah. it's a shame he died so young. probably the best singer there was.
J. Jannotti
Still a sad movie
Tureverk 10 probably fucking dead
Tureverk 10 he had aids and his immune system was very weak. He died through a pneumonia.
My eyes appear to be sweating.
If this doesn’t make you respect Roger even more I don’t know what will
Roger literally left his vocal cords in this song
😍😍
When you watch a black screen for 25 minutes and enjoyed it
I wasn't aware of that until I see this comment
@@mel19723 i wasn't aware ether lol
listening to around 21:00 when Freddie´s voice starts to crack and get rough makes me think - Sometimes recording music must be really tough work...
Timliu92 I agree.
21:57
Willcchi Will 21:58 definitely haha. Rip voice. That point forward sounds very rough.
It’s not just Freddie, Roger Taylor does a lot of the high voices on the operatics section.
16:06 it's Roger :v
I think we all knew that :/
Zachary Wilson BUT this entire track recoding *is* Freddie!
@@Motown-1966 You spend so much time saying things that aren't truth
Just A Queen Lover :u 😂 According to YOU.
This song had 180 over dubbing and the person singled-out Freddie's lyrics...so no...Rogers voice isn't included HERE you expert!
Freddie Mercury was incredible.
IS, my friend, IS.
M M lmaoooo
his voice is epic. although he sounds like he never had vocal lessons...he is a pure talent with an excuisite voice range and dynamic
benetia2004 Which make him even more amazing
benetia2004 He did have vocal lessons when he was in India.
Freddie said he never had any singing lessons.
Freddie never had formal vocal nor singing lessons... That's how gifted he was...
16:06 my boi Roger ;( i love him
OMG AUSTIN AND ALLY
Sameeeeeeeeeeeeeee
@Madison Mercer the person's name is Austin Monica Moon, which is Austin's full name
Austin Monica Moon 🌑 Jesus that pitch.
"can u go a bit higher"
11:29 Anyway the wind blows fhdjsjssbbsdh ughhhhhh I love that part
Freddie left his comfort zone and his voice cracked that's something all vocalist want to do when they hear powerful singers or really high notes it take a lot of practice to sing high and not strain
But If He Keeps Doing That It Will Damage His Voice Ability Slowly
Dushawn 5 You can’t blame him for his voice cracking, it took 72 hours just to record the operatic section. A lot of those 72 hours were probably spent singing. He also got nodules really early in the 70’s which made it even harder to sing. I am not sure if he had singing lessons, but he used his voice kind of carelessly. But he did have a beautiful voice anyway.
@@jamievanburen659 He Never Had A Formal Vocal Lesson
Best vibrato in rock history
Antonio Drugo legit facts
Everyones talking about Freddie's voice crack at 22:00 but I legit still thought he sounded amazing. Tbh, if no one said it was a voice crack I wouldnt really think about it as one lol.
He also may have run out of breath and even if it was a crack, he had been singing for a long time going at a lot of different pitches lol
16:06 Roger Meddows Taylor: "FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" OMG, Rog. sharp edge!!! 💪😎
Well actually, Freddie's favourite song was Somebody to Love. He said it was more heartfelt, this has been your random Queen trivia fact for today.
But that was our beloved Freddie, Bohemian Rhapsody was his coming out confession? and Somebody to Love was his yearning to find his true partner. I hope he found the happiness he deserved. may he still be resting in peace.. 😮🎉
How to make a 6min masterpiece into a 24min legacy

Best 24 minutes and 9 seconds of my life
these vocals are from the original 2.5 inch masters. They were leaked onto the net with a load of other Queen tracks some years ago. These were originally used to show potential buyers of out board recording gear what the new equipment could do. They were never supposed to be in the public domain. Freddie is a genius and there multi tracks are awesome. How do I know this well that's a long story.
Robert Mahoney u have watched the documentary?
You were the one who leaked the recordings?
Please, tell us how you do know this. 😁😁😁
dont worry, i have time
Which are the other Queen tracks that got leaked?
The little imperfections in each line make me smile. I don’t know why but they just make him see human and kind of adorable. And the big voice cracks just make me laugh and smile more!!! He was so talented but he was human. I bet he laughed pretty hard at some of the bigger ones
This is how it sounds like in heaven. Freddie Mercury sitting on his throne as a queen, my dear.
After beautifull 5 minutes and 57 I finnaly heard "mama" part 😍
Best time : 5:57 😍
Wogy it’s so beautiful :,,)
