How quaint to believe that because someone is an adult they MUST have taken drugs, especially someone like Jimin who would risk not only his career but the careers of six other members and countless staff at the company his band helped build.

The song is about Jimin losing himself and not acknowledging that he's hurting himself by sucooming to things like alcohol. The mud filling the rooms is like his reality leaking into the false dream-like state he's put himself into because he says "This is gonna break, don't you wake me" is him admitting that what he's doing is bad. Hence why he ends up in the same spot at the end with the mud on him bc it's basically consuming him at this point. Which is how he said he felt during the pandemic.
Some people say the girl was also another person looking for a way to escape their own reality like Jimin was; or that they were a reflection of each other or Jimin's feminine side. It makes more sense when you see the choreo with the female backup dancers pulling Jimin away from the male dancers. I'm sorry but this reaction felt so off.
