Mine doesn't work, even with APFS. Write speed is fine at ~3000 mB/s, while read speed is under 100 mB/s. Kinda weird since it is perfectly fine on Windows.
Mine same problem with unstable read speed, it varies 100~2000Mpbs, steady Read speed ~1xxx Mbps on windows11 (surface pro 7 plus USB-C port)
I have one of these and it has a 2tb samsung 980 pro in it, according to the spec in only supports nvme or to 2tb but would it recognise s 4tb nvme?
I have no 4tb ssd to try yet. It might not be supported.
need to know does it support 4TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO ssd??)
Can this problem be solved?
Problem not solved yet. The seller recommended to use this enclosure with commercial EVO 980 ssd instead.
I found this thread PM9A1 ssd firmware upgrade might improve read/write speed but didn't try yet
