The resistor on the previous tail lights melted the wires causing a short, which led to the taillights not functioning properly. It needed to be secured away from the harness. But those tail lights lacked any instructions on where to properly mount it, that's why I appreciated that these actually have a dedicated place to screw in the resistor.
Great video I really appreciate you taking the time to show step by step process. It really helps if somebody that doesn't know what's behind the magic curtain. As for your wire that was pinched and damaged (Blue wire exposed no insulation). You can use liquid electric tape and paint over it. That will prevent it from shorting out or coming into contact with any other exposed wire. Harbor freight sells a bottle for like $10 of liquid electric tape. Great video keep them coming.
Are you going to get new wheels?
Eventually!
Jeez, leave it to Ford to make you disassemble half your vehicle to change a light housing. They look good though.
They couldn't make it too easy ya know..
@@MikeyJDenham yeah, I know all about it, I drive a 2019 F150. Gotta take the entire front of the truck apart to change a light housing
What made you decide to change your lights out again?
