Viva Las Vegas is definitely one of Elvis best movies. Elvis and Ann Margaret had such great chemistry together. While they stayed good friends for the remainder of Elvis life, I always felt that the one woman that was the perfect match for him was Ann Margaret. They should have married.
And Blue Hawaii.
I cry when I watch this. Ann has wrote that she loved him deeply and I think Elvis might still be alive today had he went with her after his divorce.

Ann's characters name in this movie is Rusty. Elvis called her by that nickname for the rest of his life. Whenever Ann started a new residency in Las Vegas or Lake Tahoe or someplace Elvis always used to send her a huge bouquet of flowers. She says when that bouquet didn't arrive one day that's when she knew he was dead.
Ann Margaret simply sizzles in this movie!
My favorite line from "Viva Las Vegas" is when Ann-Margret asks Elvis and his friend to "check the motor on my car..it whistles.." and Elvis says, "I don't blame it."

Elvis and Ann Margaret had such a wonderful connection and they were an item for a year, but even after it ended they stayed close 🥰 Viva Las Vegas is one of my favourite movies.
OMG, You've got to see Viva Las Vegas! I've loved Elvis since I was 5. Unfortunately, we were very poor so I couldn't buy his records, nor did I ever get to see him in person. The day he passed my family was nervous about telling me. Broke my heart. I'm 66 now, Elvis was truly one of a kind.

In my memory, this is the first time i ever saw Elvis.
It was this pool scene, and my mum said to me...."that is the greatest singer ever"! How right she was! But all i thought after watching this scene, OMG the money is gone 😂!

They were very close and had nicknames for each other. I believe he called her "Thumper" .. like from the movie Bambi. She would call Graceland and just had to say it was Thumper calling and they would put it through to Elvis. For many years she refused to do any interviews about him or talk about their relationship.

I'm a huge Elvis fan but,some of his movies are really hard to watch. Especially this one. I actually like AM also but man! Some of the best are King Creole, Jailhouse Rock. Some of the movies that are silly but fun are Girl Happy,Kissin' Cousins, Tickle me. G.I. Blues isn't bad either.

Elvis and Ann-Margret do two songs on audio only :"Today Tomorrow And Forever." In the movie only Elvis sings. It's beautiful, but as good as their duet version. ""You're The Boss" is exceptional. You certainly need to play that one too.

Yes they did love each other. They met each other on the movie set of Viva Las Vegas and during the production of Viva Las Vegas they fell in love. They had a 2 year affair. He sent her flowers every time she opened in Las Vegas. When she didn’t receive her flowers in August of 1977 she received word that he had passed.
