    Nkoveni female hasn't moved an inch. When I was there last year, I was relaxing by the pool and she walked past. Luckily the Elephant alerted me to her! 😅

    The beautiful Nkoveni patrolling her territory and making sure everyone is keeping it up at camp lol. Crossing the River was incredible-my first seeing a leopard in water that high. Yay and double yay- Gorgeous Momma Piccadilly and cub. She is getting so big. I am so so so happy for her. Daughter is very pretty. I think mom was too full for affection. The leopard sounds were incredible. I. Really really enjoyed this and thank you guys as always. Edit/ beautiful lioness background and roars - pure awesome 😎

    Interesting, the leopard did not react to its reflection in the window-self awareness indicated! Great sightings MalaMala 👏👍

    • @PAULLONDEN
      @PAULLONDEN 2 года назад +3

      Not reacting to its reflection "indicates self awareness" ....... ? Love to have *that* explained .
      So , reacting to its reflection would indicate "non self awareness" ?
      This leopardess must've seen her reflection enough times in water ,or reflective objects from MalaMala camp .

    Although leopards appear to be more muscular, I do believe the mountain lions (cougars,pumas,etc) of the American West are bigger cats. I've seen one from 20ft away and it was a big male. He was about 10 long from the tip of the nose to the tip of his tail. Probably reached 4ft tall. They're well fed on venison, hares, rabbits, and wild turkeys around these parts.

      True a big male leopard is physically stronger than a cougar and more muscular with bigger skull

    Loved it! This is not the first time a big cat was in the MalaMala compound. I thought that there were electric fences surrounding it. Nonetheless, the Nkoveni female 🐆was attempting to inspect the lodgings with no success. It was was nice seeing the Piccadilly female and her cub and the magnificent herd of elephants🐘. The roaring lioness at sunset was beautiful.

    Wonderful! What a memorable sighting!
    Question...( 5:08 ) what happened to her daughters back left leg? That was a large wound!
    And at 6:56, her daughters "voice" is SO low, hahaha! Doesn't fit the image of a young'ish cub!
