    My 2 cents to the AutoScaling usage, In scenarios like handling peak loads with by scheduling particular time, Like flash sales day in e-commerce. Also for the fail-overs too.

    Hi
    Want to just get clarified, the auto recovery just recover my EC2 Instance in case of Physical Host/layer issue (AWS Vendor Issue) (mentioned at 10.27 min), isn't that by default enabled as its AWS duty to ensure in case of issue on Phy. Host to fix it automatically so the Customer Instances won't affect ?
    What is AutoRecover helping me here ?

    • @knowledgeindia
      @knowledgeindia  4 года назад +1

      No it doesn't happen by default if you are not putting the auto-recover option. Auto-recover involves stopping and starting an instance and AWS would not do that for you in case of EC2 as you are responsible for EC2.

      @@knowledgeindia How does the pricing work when AWS stops and starts the instance, like does it count 2 separate hours for it?
