The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000009a). FIX!!!!!!

A short tutorial on how to fix game that won't launch at all and a message pops up.
1. Go to your Antivirus (MacAfee or whatever)and open it. Go to the crank icon (settings) on the top right of the MacAfee page and look for Real-Time Scan. Then turn it off.
2. Go to Quarantine items. Restore the file.
Done! Hope this helps.

This was really helpful, thanks a lot dude. Another method you can use instead of completely disabling real time scan is to just whitelist the quarantined files. My Assassins Creed 3 wasn't working and I had to whitelist just that one .dll file which was being quarantined every time I started the game.

1. Click on *My Protection* under the home button on the left side.
2. Under Protect your PC, click the arrow for *Real Time Scanning.*
3. Under Excluded Files, you can Add Files that you want to exclude from the Mcafee scan.
