    God bless you for putting this video out. I don't think there's anyone else on YT who has said such a crucial fact before. This completely changes things for me as I had been planning to go for a german masters next year. I think its better if I simply prepare for GATE and try to get into a good college and see what happens from there. Thank you so much!

    Sir, okay i totally get that and I'm into it.. but I'm probably going to have 7cgpa in my bachelors degree in civil engg. I have 6.5 band in IELTS which i gave last week. I do not have any work experience and want to get a german university. It looks difficult for my attributes to get a public university for free easily. Should i go for German taught program just for boosting my profile or not?. Because at the end of the day i wanna study in english taught program and after that,get a job somewhere else if not in Germany . Should i still go for German taught program just to boost up my profile?

    Thanks for clarifying all the doubts, sir.
    However, one issue still remains in my opinion. I agree with you when you say that first step is difficult but worth it but another constraint is the availability of the course itself. I'm looking forward to pursuing some CS, Data Science, AI oriented courses and they're in mixed language. Like, it's such a messy situation to be very honest. If the course is suitable, sometimes it's not available in English and many courses in English are not so good. I'm presently keeping myself open to both languages, but any advice on that would be very helpful.

    I am considering German taught programs because I feel I can't get into English taught program. Just to give you a little context I have done my bachelors in electrical engineering from Pakistan with a percentage of 57% and I have an overall work experience of 3.5 years out of which 1.5 years is in a multinational in Sweden and other 2 years in Pakistan. I wish to pursue my masters in data science from Germany. Is there any possibility to get an admission in an English taught program if I have an exceptional GRE and IELTS score along with good recommendations and well written SOP?

    What would you say about bilingual bachelor's in mechanical engineering, first three semesters in English along with integrated course-related German classes, after three semesters rest in German. I am in 12th and have done A1 so I have two years to get to C1, one year of bachelors in my country and one and half year of english taught in germany. Will you still suggest to not go for german taught ?

    • @euroshala-workandstudyineu7171
      @euroshala-workandstudyineu7171  11 месяцев назад

      A bilingual bachelor's in mechanical engineering can be a great option if you are interested in studying in Germany and want to learn German. The first three semesters in English will give you a chance to get acclimated to the German university system and learn the basics of German. After that, you will be able to continue your studies in German, which will give you a valuable skill and make you more competitive in the job market.
      However, it is important to be realistic about your language skills. If you are currently at A1 level, it will take a lot of hard work and dedication to reach C1 in two years. You will need to study German intensively and be willing to immerse yourself in the language as much as possible.
      If you are not confident that you can reach C1 level in two years, then I would suggest not going for the German-taught program. You could still study in Germany, but you would need to find a program that is taught in English. This would give you the opportunity to study in Germany without having to worry about the language barrier.
      Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to go for the German-taught program is up to you. Weigh the pros and cons carefully and decide what is best for you.

If I study in an English-taught master's program, can I still manage in a German-speaking work environment with my German language skills? Excactly!
    Someone who does an Anglophone master and achieves high CGPA while taking advantage of these 2-yrs and learn German and become bilingual has a higher chance of landing a job than someone who made his master in German but struggled during his studies, failed too many exams, ended up with low CGPA, not recommended by his professors!

      @@alial-nuaemi7409 For those pursuing civil engineering, studying in Germany should not even be a question. Every country has different laws and regulations on construction, so such a student should pursue civil engineering better in the country where he would primarily like to practice it. Ofcourse I'm not talking about architects or rcc stuff. Anyway, most people interested in studying in Germany are interested in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics and IT. And for these subjects, Germany's quality of education and research papers in german face no competition. There is hardly an institute in the west that can compete with Fraunhofer Institute for example.

      @@Aditya-xs6wk Yes, there is data on the number of German and English language papers in the field of mechanical engineering in recent years. A study by Miloš Tasić published in 2019 found that the number of English language papers in mechanical engineering has been increasing steadily over the past few decades, while the number of German language papers has been decreasing. In 1990, only about 20% of papers in mechanical engineering were published in English. By 2017, this number had increased to over 70%.

    Guys, if you are a Mechanical engineer and have dreams of working in Germany in best automotive companies, then you need German language proficiency. Just like how you need English in USA, Mandarin in China, Japanese in Japan same like that you need German to work and live in Germany. If you don't plan to work/live in Germany then its cool you don't have to become proficient. So think and choose your path. Ofcourse it's gonna be hard when you start adapting to a new environment but the results are very fruitful. Also, GPA DOESN'T MATTER!!!! Your skills MATTER and how you present your skills to the best of your capabilities MATTER. For students other than Mechanical field, you have plenty of options outside Germany but for a Mechanical engineer who dreams to work in the best automotive company, YOU NEED TO HAVE GERMAN PROFICIENCY. Also, if you do masters and come back to India, doesn't matter you were in a English taught course or German taught course, you'll NEVER get a job here. Instead try for jobs in Germany only.

    Misleading video quite honestly. While there is some truth to effect on grades and english speaking international job market, no one would recommend this. I did my Bachelors in German language in Germany. Most professors understand English and you can write answers in English. I also wrote all the research papers in English without an issue. German Professors are well educated to understand English.
    The reason why you should take part in German course is:
    1. Easy access to german job market. I got more than 4 job offers before even ending my Bachelors.
    2. You get to integrate yourself in German soceity and make good friends and contacts. When you are in english speaking courses, you mostly connect with Indians, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis, which would hardly help you understand Germany.
    3. Paper work. Germany is a land of Bureaucracy and all the paper work is in German. You will keep relying on unreliable translations by Google Translate or Apple translate. You will not understand contracts and create yourselves problems.
    4. Chances in Career. A friend did an english taught masters and got a starting salary of 48k. I completed my Bachelors in German and the highest pay offered to me was 53k in the same city and 68k in the south. I was also offered a managerial position in one of the offers.
    5. Better understanding of Germany and the German system. You'll be able to read news and articles related to not only world but also your specific field. You can read research papers. A lot of research papers regarding engineering were written in German language and are of course available in Germany. Germany is the most innovative country in the field of engineering. You'd be extremely dumb to not learn the technical words to understand them.
    Don't let anyone fool you. I have an experience with German language program. Its a struggle but it is worth it.

    Ok considering your facts that you are saying to choose English taught course instead of German taught course. This English taught course is only have advantage of short term in terms of education and getting jobs and limited to English working environment. But for long term this course is going to hurt you. You can't survive with just English and A1-A2 german. Your path will be so narrow if you think by only speaking English and A1+A2 language you will be in safe. You will be in wrong dilemma your opportunities will be limited for career and personal as well. Upto getting job it's okay but for long term stay this thinking is not going to work. You can't expect that you will encounter every tough situation by speaking English and A1-A2 German. If people choose German taught program then they will have opportunities as compare to English taught master student. They have more personal and career growth than this English taught master students because of their german speaking environment. If someone wants to live and work in Germany and want more opportunities for their bright future German language is must with intermediate level.

      You are speaking the truth for the courses in which Germany hasn’t specialised as well as mechanical,chemical and biotechnology. For eg:- cs, IT fields. But I feel more opportunities open in this country if you do the German taught masters in mech,chem,etc.

    • @ashutoshkshirsagar231
      @ashutoshkshirsagar231 2 года назад

      And it isn’t so difficult too, you can easily correlate between the German and English terms. You just get the upper edge and acceptance in the society when you have a command over local language which won’t be achievable in an English taught program as you will learn the language as just the course.

    A person who has scored below 65% in his Bachelors in India is unlikely to have the capability of getting into a premier institute to do his masters in India. Not because this person is dumb but because there are few good colleges in India and the competition is way too fierce. So this basically means this person will probably not get a good job in India anyway, and also Good engineering jobs are very minimal in India. In this situation the person might as well, learn German properly for even a year or two in India and then get admission into a German-taught program and manage to get a decent grade.
